Lilian Garcia announce audio files from SvR 2006

Ripped these from SvR 2006 and thought I'd share, could be useful for injecting into 2k16 announce audio files if people are replacing superstars with modded ones.

There are 600+ WAV files included, which includes all of Lilian Garcia's announce audio from the game, including billing/weight info and superstar call names.

NOTE: If you're using these in 2k16, I'd recommend using an audio editor to convert to stereo, apply a hi-pass filter to increase clarity, then increase the volume by about 15db.

Really helpful, thank you very much for sharing! Could be helpful for some like Hogan, Benoit, Angle, Rey, ...

Here's the Hogan WEMs that I've used with my game if anyone's interested, filtered and volume adjusted and fits right in :)

Thanks again! Which settings and editor do you use?

Thanks again! Which settings and editor do you use?

Just basic settings on the Sound Injector. I use Adobe Audition for audio, I work with music a lot anyway and have done for several years so I'm at home there. Pretty basic job here of just cutting off the low frequencies to clear up the quality, any sort of graphics equaliser can do a basic hi-pass. Then just increase the volume by about 15db and you should be good to go :D

If anyone isn't too good at audio editing btw and has any specific requests to whip these files into shape, let me know and I'll see what I can do :)

Clip of my Hollywood Hogan entrance here, vid isn't amazing quality because I had to compress it to upload to the site with no account  but it works for general demonstration :)https://vid.me/We9R

Thank you!  Did you rip these yourself, and if so how?  I'd love to figure out how to rip announcements and commentary files from older wrestling games (WWE and other).

Awesome work man wish I had time to mess with it. Gotta get some sleep before work haha BUT this is gonna come in extremely handy! If you ripped these yourself is it possible you have access to other games? These announce files are gold mines! If I could some how get access to say the Caw call names I'm thinking I could piece together some files in Sony Acid for guys like Owen Hart, Kenny Omega, etc. Definitely let me know and if there's any way I can help you I will. I'm right at home with the audio editing software as well.

I used a very easy to use bit of freeware called ADXUtil http://www.geocities.ws/sakura_br/ :) It should work for most PS2 games I believe - I still have SvR, SvR 2006 and 2007 on disc, not sure if it opens ISOs but I imagine that downloading an ISO for the game you wanna rip and then mounting it to a virtual drive with software like Daemon Tools should do the trick ;) Then you just use the utility to browse the 'disc' and open up sound archive files, then you can play them and either see which ones you wanna extract or just select and extract the lot. Make sure you go into settings to set the output as WAV.

Wow i've been looking for something like this, thanks man!

Unfortunately this doesn't work with all games, I just tried SvR 2009 (downloaded ISO from EMUparadise and mounted it with Daemon Tools) and the only sound archive file is crowd sounds. There are a tonne of pac files though which might contain some goodies if extracted but maybe not. Gonna try SvR 08 shortly and see if I can get any good stuff.

SvR08 to 11 use YAF. You'll need to use YAF extractor to extract them. Me, personally, I use PSound instead.

Literally just came in to say I found that instead :lol Couldn't extract any announcer audio though :( tonnes of audio files but none of the good stuff.

I guess another way is to run the game through an emulator, turn off all sounds apart from commentary and literally record the sounds.

Well, I managed to record some audio from 2008, Jeff Hardy and CM Punk's files here if anyone wants 'em http://www21.zippyshare.com/v/OivDNrTi/file.html

These are in WAV format and I've not tested them in game so you'll have to try them out and see what the volume is like, it should be decent volume because I have adjusted it but it may not be spot on.

Sweet thanks bro!!!!

There's Tony Chimmel's as well but yeah, each superstar only gets one per announcer unfortunately. I guess if you're finding it a little fast you could slow it down or hack it up a bit with an audio editor though :)

I'm very par to sub-par with audio editing. Do you think the extracted audio from this video would be able to produce a good entrance .wem for AJ Styles?

The music is pretty quiet so either some filtering or a knockout plugin might get the announcer intro in decent quality. Might have a go at that at some point.

Bit late in here, but I've also extracted the announce files from 2K16 and been working on an ID sheet and also messing around with some sounds. Managed to knock together an Owen Hart intro, all ready to go :)http://www.filedropper.com/owenhart

Also replaced some files for converting Paul Wight to The Giant and X-Pac to Syxx and have Lilian actually call them by those names which is awesome! Obviously as well because they're ripped from the same game you don't need to filter but increasing the volume a few dbs works best, then just inject them straight back in and they sound right!

Can these be used to inject on a modded superstar that hasn't replaced anyone but is in a new slot without making them a CAW?

If so, how would I assign these to a slot?

Thanks.

Empty slots don't have announce audio IDs mate, so unfortunately it's not possible as there's nothing to inject into. Replacing is the way forward I reckon, allows for much more customisation beyond just the model :)
