Royal Rumble Match Modes Consistently Crashing To Desktop

I've tried six different times to get through a single 20 man and/or 30 man Royal Rumble match-up, but every single attempt has wound up with the game crashing hard to the desktop. If I select 20 or 30 guys, the match will start fine and the first couple of wrestlers will make their way out, but I can't get much further than the 8th, 9th or 10th participant without the game exploding. Very frustrating.

Funnily enough, I was able to successfully complete a 10 man Royal Rumble without incident. 

Aside from the problems I'm having with the 20 man/30 man Royal Rumble matches, my game is otherwise 100% stable. Is there some sort of "known technical issue" where the Rumble match crashes if you're running a game that's heavily modified, or is this just buggy "port code" rearing its ugly head (or both)?

Sounds like  you may be using modded wrestlers in the rumble?  I wonder if one is not properly installed, and is crashing the game when they are set to enter the rumble.  Just a guess.  If you are using mods, maybe try a rumble with only superstars that came with the game, and see if it still crashes.
