WWE 2K17 preorder bonus revealed

I remember the days when WWE didn't have their fingers all over the games.

no they always did.. it just wasn't known to the public.

 

remember WWE12 and the Chris Jericho Debacle? well he was supposed to be DLC and when jericho found out he wasn't on disc he told vince he didn't want to be in the game.  This was around December of 2011 when that happened. and WWE has been trying to get rid of blood for years. ever since SVR2010 but THQ and now 2K have fought tooth and nail to keep that in

It just seems like in the PS1/N64 generation they just slapped a stamp on the game that said "Officially licensed product" and that was the end of their involvement.

well the nitro arenas in nitro the game and revenge wre good. other than that yeah. I didn't like what THQ did back then on any of these games after 08 is when i saw that they just didn't care much.

amazing how people constatnty want to get mad cause their favorite indy jobber didn't make a preorder.

 

i'm glad about this but to be honest nitro should have been included this year.  I'm wondering if that means there's some sort of Goldberg showcase and somehow wwe is letting hogan in the game. if that happens i'll be happy.  as i've said before though you can have an outstanding number of current roster and legends and it wouldn't make a difference if universe is still fucked up but atleast with them announcing the preorder and bonus this far ahead, that seems like a good thing.

Just because Goldberg is a pre-order bonus doesn't guarantee he has a showcase or is even involved in a showcase. Yes, the Ultimate Warrior was in 30YOWM in 2k14, but you also have to look at the past two games. 2k15 we got surfer sting and crow sting as preorder but sting was not incorporated into any of the showcases. Last year we got the two terminators which was just a waste. I think the render background tells more about what to expect. 2k16 was broken glass and that tied in with Austin. The purple background with lightning could definitely be a sign of the Undertaker.....and on to the WWE celebrating 25 years of Taker'.....seems a showcase could be likely.

I highly doubt we'll get a Goldberg showcase with him as the preorder bonus. A WCW, and/or Raw 2003 related showcase featuring Goldberg, maybe. It's worth noting Sting was the preorder bonus for 2K15 and the showcase had absolutely nothing to do with WCW.

Edit: Ha, stlpowercat beat me to it. Hope you're right about a possible Taker showcase, that's one I'd actually really want to play.

true but just cause there's a cover star doesn't mean there's just 1 showcase either plus in 2k14 and wwe13 Warrior and Tyson were respectively DLC bonuses and they were in the showcase. Preorder exclusives are locked on disc. but i would love it if it ends up coming to pass

i doubt there will be an undertaker showcase you're jumping the gun way too fast. i'm being very cautious this time around

we can still have a showcase even if he's a preorder bonus. warrior was the preorder of 2k14 and he was in the 30 years mode so there's that

 

in other news... the 2k15 servers are still alive and kicking... so much for them turning them off lol

it's all good to have opinions. i'm all for that. and you aren't saying Goldberg can't draw and wcw was worthless so we cool

there was this dude on the 2k forums that was saying WCW was nothing during the MNW and that Goldberg couldn't draw. then he started attacking any person that said they liked wcw from 96 -98. that bothered me.

but yeah i'd love a lesnar or taker showcase. not so much on taker's streak but his 25 plus career would be cool

wouldn't it just be better to preorder on the PSN when it becomes available? i mean by then you'll have an idea what's what with the game. and didn't you tell someone that it wouldn't be smart to preorder before having most of the details? sorry i'm a bit testy today after youtube muted (not flagged but muted) my entire video just cause i had voodoo child slight return in my video for his theme even though i've been using that theme for the past 2 months.
