Exporting OBJ Files

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi guys - so im getting to the point of nearly finishing my Godfather mod and want to test him in game. So from what im gathering i now need to export the parts back into the game so am i right in thinking i have to do this.

  • Export each edited part into a new folder i.e. on my desktop - How do i export them from blender seperately?
  • Export all the edited textures into a new folder i.e. on my deskop
  • Open xrey where i have the yobj file open and import the edited parts into the parts that i no longer need.
  • Import the edited textures back in using xpacker.
  • When all the parts that i need for my wrestler i then open in HXD and modify the amount of slots deleting the last few slots that are no longer needed?
  • Then import the yobj back into the pac file as per xpacker.
  • Once this is all done i can edit the pac file in HXD to change the CH number to my custom godfather slot.
  • Create pofo and moveset - set him up in the game and i should be ready to go

if this is wrong in any way please can someone help me out?? :)

Depends on whose pants and jacket you used

Face and body go into the 000C file you will need Xpacker to put it in

pants are undertaker american badass and jacket is scott hall.

And with the face and body do i rename them what the originally were like all_color.dds which is the body file then inject that back in with xpacker?

Id say i have issues hahaha

Change you region settings and it will fix the x rey problem

Face - head and head-f

Body - allcolor

Pants - bottoms

jacket - i don't know

and you need to create an 000A texture archive using xpacker to make the textures work

Iv already changed my region settings but still looks all over the place :( isnt looking promising

with the textures do i literally just copy and paste overwrite the existing ones?

which textures do i add to the new texture archive? do i add all of them?

If you need the names for your textures, just try extracting the undertakers 000A.. He'll likely have everything the godfather does, so that'll help with the names.

You can copy and paste over existing texture files and it'll work fine. If you're doing that in X-Packer, make sure you check the DDS save settings in hex to match your existing files because it won't let you add something if it's not the same size.

Texture files sort in alphabetical order, so just do "select all" if you create a new texture file and you'll be fine. I don't think you have to worry about the DDS settings either when you do it this way.
