cloudropis
Is there even really much point to last gen games anymore? At this point aren't they just stripped down versions of 2K14 with updated rosters? Yea it sucks that people stuck on last gen wont be able to play the new games but I have to agree with Jeff on this one, the time and resources spent on development could be better utilized elsewhere. Besides it's inevitably going to happen anyway, if it isn't this year it'll be next year."Updated roster" is kind of a loaded statement if you check high quality stuff like Xavier's and Breeze's models
Bombcentralgaming
I had a PS2, never had PS3 or Xbox 360, so when they got rid of PS2 after SvR 2011, I have to play WWE '12 and '13 with Wii emulator. I had to skip 2K14 because it wasn't released for Wii.No one said shit when they gave up on PS2... What is old need to be let go.PS2 no longer had online, for their games & idk how watered down it wasBut by that point, most of their audience had moved on to PS3 at the time. So, like noted above if it isn't dead this year. It will defo for 2K18.

WWE2K? not so much. So yeah i would be seriously surprised. They need to use that dev time to add custom music import to current gen and i know it's possible. If it can be done with Sharefactory which locks a set amount of space to import and save music to the application and i've never had any issues doing so, they definitely can if they actually wanted to. TheSuperItachi
see it is a problem , when you have millions being spent on a development team for a last gen game. imagine how much better current gen would be with all that extra dev time and money
kim666
Löl, why should they spend more money and dev time to current gen? There are more then enough fools who buy the game either way. People are complaining that 2k15/16 on last gen is just 2k14 reloaded. But the same thing happens on current gen too, 2k16 is just 2k15 reloaded ^^
Gift Of Jericho
NOOOO, 2K16 is much better than 2K15. 2K15 feels like a demo for 2K16, it lacks feature severely. It looks a little bit better though. But 2K16 is better !!!
kim666
A simple Patch could bring all these "features" into 2k15. But why should 2k do this?
HiPcavallo
I'm not exactly going to give any praise to 2K for the amount of effort they put into these games. But thing is on last gen you're getting a carbon copy of an outdated version of the game that's ultimately stripped down in order to fit in an updated roster (that has the bare minimum effort put into the newer models), without any notable updates, or improvements to the core gameplay, nor are newer features included in the game. It's simply a regression to pump out a game with an updated roster and milk whatever they can out of fans stuck on last gen consoles. On current gen you're getting an updated version of the game that builds upon what was established with the previous iteration, as well as new features, enhancements to the core gameplay, and plenty of room to further build upon what's already there (which is a luxury last gen no longer has). They may not necessarily have any substantial improvements in the next game, but for better or worse we will get more of progression moving forward. I'm not delusional enough to believe they'll have a substantially bigger budget or team working on the game, I'm sure cutting last gen will also cut the budget set aside for it. But they will ultimately have more resources to work with, even if it's just a few extra team members moving over from last gen, and a bit of extra time to focus on current gen which has to be a good thing moving forward. Bombcentralgaming
"WWE 2K17" is set to be released later this year, and now, a retailer listing may have just revealed exactly when the new wrestling game will be made available.ThisGenGaming has shared an image of the listing that seems to indicate that the new game will be released in the United Kingdom on Oct. 21, which happens to fall on a Friday. As the web site noted, UK game releases usually take place on Fridays, so there may be something to the date indicated in the image. The web site also indicated that with "WWE 2K17" possibly being released in the UK on Oct. 21, players in North America may expect it to be made available to them a bit earlier, with Oct. 18 being mentioned as a possible debut date for the game. The retailer listing which contained the potential release date for the wrestling game has reportedly been deleted and re-added, though the new entry apparently no longer contains the specific arrival date. For now, the only thing officially known about the arrival of the upcoming wrestling game is that it will be taking place this October, as Take-Two revealed in a recently released financial report.Perhaps more details about "WWE 2K17's" official release date will also be shared at the 2016 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3). But even if the announcement isn't made by then, wrestling fans will still want to tune in to the event to learn more about the new roster additions.2K has invited WWE portrait artist Rob Schamberger to create a new work of art that features the game's latest roster additions at E3.The picture will be painted upon what has been termed as a "Superstar-sized canvas," according to a post on WWE.com, and fans who want to see the new portrait while it is still being created can drop by 2K's booth at E3.More news about "WWE 2K17" should be made available in the near future.http://www.ecumenicalnews.com/article/exact-release-date-for-wwe-2k17-may-have-been-leaked-via-a-retailer-listing/45941.htm Edited June 12, 2016 by Bombcentralgaming

the King Lives
A bit late to the party Jeff considering that everything I saw on this thread was referring to rumors and I saw the trailer when it was released and I didn't see any type of update, I don't see how i'm late to anything. I was just clearing up what BCG posted.

New Zealand is listing a release date of the 13th on the xbox one store. can't speak for Euro or any of those other countries though so yeah I think us and Canada are the only two getting the 11th date. So maybe that was a placeholder IDK. anyway I preordered a game we know nothing about.. YAY! lol
