I opened each in Blender, but do I actually go about aligning them? I have this without the coatthis with the coat looking at it with just the tank, the body is too big for the lower part of the tank.. I'm not sure how to make that fit, and the jacket as well. Quote

tomwearsglasses Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 (edited) I found this tutorial from Prinsto in the 2k15 forums really helpful in figuring out the basics of using Blender for this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kCj28Ns8Js0In the beginning he goes through the process of exporting from the game to Blender, and then at the end how to export back into the game. It's important to make sure to select 'Keep Vert Order' when you first import the object, and to make sure that while you're editing that you don't make any changes that affect the vertex count as it seems to need to match the object you reinject it to.I've gotten good results using his export settings:- Selection Only- Smooth Groups- Objects as Obj Objects- Keep Vertex Order When you say it crashes - does it crash in X-Rey when you try to import the updated yobj, or in the game when you try to load the new pac? Everything loads into x-Rey fine. No vertices errors. It just crashes at the loading screen. I've gotten some progress in I guess. I just imported the shirt in a pach that i used when I swapped sting's jacket with the undertakers, and it loads in game it's just very sporadic and over all over the place (and maybe backwards? It looked fine in x-rey, but that fullpreview obj file shows it backwards). Edited May 15, 2016 by hovathagod32 Quote
hovathagod32 Posted May 15, 2016 Author Posted May 15, 2016 Well.. I learned it's not backwards, but I still can't figure out how to get it to not bug out that way. I feel like that has to be fixed before any jacket is added to the equation. Quote
tomwearsglasses Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 The first time I tried to add a shirt in Blender I got something similar looking. For me it was because I didn't click the 'Keep Vert Order' setting when I first imported all the objects into Blender. I re-did that for both the character model and the shirt, adjusted it, then exported the shirt using exactly the settings mentioned above. It worked fine the second time. Quote

It didn't do this with the coat I swapped. I'll go through and find another tank and see how that one works. Quote
hovathagod32 Posted May 17, 2016 Author Posted May 17, 2016 lol so it's kinda getting frustrating because I'm getting crashes with just trying to add a shirt. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong anymore so I want to list all my steps. decompress Sting's ingame attire & Bo Dallas' entrance PACH (I wanted to use his shirt)Extract their 000A's and copy Bo's top textures to Stings 000A, creating a new 000A.pac for injecting laterFrom Sting's 0000.yobj, I extracted the head, body, attire, arms, underwear. legsFrom Bo's 0000.yobj, I saw that object17 was his shirt. Singled it out in Anatomizer, and ejected the shirt (object0) from the updated 0000.yobjBlender. Open my Sting objs in order. Following settings: Import Bo's shirt. How it looks on import: Used scale to resize the shirt so there's no clipping front or back: export .obj. Settings: inject Bo's 0000.yobj with the new obj: Create new pach from Sting's ingame pach. Added the Rock's 001A (I used Sting's extracted 0000.yobj instead of the zlib, if that matters.): Inject my updated texture 000A.pac from earlier, inject Bo's 0000.yobj into 001A.Insert into Sting's Pac.Crash.I'm not really sure.. @tekken57, @LordJustice17, @Dennis-Bieser, or anyone? lol Quote
tekken57 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 You should rather use the hogan entrance pac from 2k15 or the Rock pach as there are already two additional slots. Extract all the files from the Sting pac and inject it into the Hogan entrance pac one by one. Inject your new 000A file into the pac and inject Bo Dallas's yobj into the 001A or 001B slots. Quote

I figure I cancel out Rock's 001B elbow pad with anatomizer (or inject Sting's Jacket later), but with hair and other things, do I just inject it into 5230 or 5234? I don't have Hogan's 2K15, but looking at a modded one I have for 2K16, Hogan's seems to be a lot different than both, but he has hair. Not sure that matters. tekken57 Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 The hogan entrance pac is preferred as he has hair as well as the hair motions files. If there are additional files / missing files on either end, just ignore them and inject what you have into the appropriate slot. Quote

ObsoleteRipZz Posted May 18, 2016 Posted May 18, 2016 Hey Hova let me ask you a question, you have been really helpful so far in this learning process lol. I'm trying to add a shirt onto Mr Perfect. How would I go about doing that and still getting the final YOBJ to put back into the game? I added the object in but I couldn't figure out how to save it or anything after resizing in Blender. I'm so lost on that part Quote

I added the object in but I couldn't figure out how to save it or anything after resizing in Blender. I'm so lost on that partUhhhh... If you scroll up you're looking at steps 8-10. When you finish in Blender, you click on your obj (the shirt) and export it, using the following settings shown above. Open up x-rey and inject your exported obj into the YOBJ file you used to get your shirt. Next you inject that yobj back into your pach. There's a few ways you can do that, from what I've learned from tekken and others. Inject all your files into Hogan's pach file from 2K15. (Use his 001A to import the shirt)Using x-packer, extract the 001A file from the Rock, and create a new pach, using your files and the Rocks 001A. Then just inject the shirt into the 001A. Shown in step 10 above. Just make sure when you add your files that the 001A is right below the 0000, 000A, 000C. ****kinda progressI can get them both to work ( the tank top still bugs out ) but only when the tank is injected into 001A, and the jacket into his hair. Is there maybe a limit or something preventing this from working? Edited May 19, 2016 by hovathagod32 merged post Quote
hovathagod32 Posted May 19, 2016 Author Posted May 19, 2016 (edited) So, I notice with the coat.. No matter if It's with the shirt or not, when it's injected into a slot there's extreme clipping. Is there a way to fix that? I've been resizing the jacket all day, but it's a no go. The bottom piece completely disappeared Edited May 19, 2016 by hovathagod32 Quote
