phatkroger10 Posted May 11, 2016 Author Posted May 11, 2016 So you're suggesting finding the "menu screen pose" hex and replace it with 0's, then changing the render? I'm curious if that is the hex before the zlib that I delete (see first post). I don't think it'd be? I'm not sure how to decompress that portion of the original file (or if it's possible). Quote
phatkroger10 Posted May 12, 2016 Author Posted May 12, 2016 I think I'm at the point of giving up on trying to figure this out - it's beyond my expertise. I have been searching through Cheat Engine pretty thoroughly. Only thing I noticed is a few lines of hex immediately after the uncompressed image hex that appears to be specific to each CAW. When I replace it, it crashes the game upon save. Is there anyone out there that may have a more appropriate skill set for trouble shooting this? Quote
JonasSlasher Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 did you try recompressing it with cheat engine? or its not possible? hmmmm...you should take a break for some fresh ideas Quote
Cave Waverider Posted May 12, 2016 Posted May 12, 2016 So you're suggesting finding the "menu screen pose" hex and replace it with 0's, then changing the render?Yeah, although 0 might already be assigned to the default pose, so you might need to change it to some other value if that's the case, I don't know. To figure out which byte(s) are responsible for the menu pose, change the pose, save and observe which bytes change in cheat engine after saving. Quote

The XX is actually the menu pose. I tried changing it to various values, but they mostly reverted back to a standard pose. That's why I'm curious about the hex following the end of the CASSADDT file, but when I replace it, it crashes the game at save. Quote
JonasSlasher Posted May 13, 2016 Posted May 13, 2016 (edited) i really think kg's trainer has a method of skipping the save, i think when you recompress your render, you are successful at putting your custom render, but then you save the creation,, so the render disappears. we need an alternative way of saving the game, i think thats what kg's trainer does..like a work around Edited May 13, 2016 by JonasSlasher1994 Quote
