Jimmycrane1986 Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Hi guys So I wanted to get rid of that nasty looking blank dummy render in the wrestler select, match up screens and the one that appears in-game. And I've found out that simply renaming certain files in the type A,B and C Pac files i've done just that, now I realize this little mod isn't anything spectacular but I know a few people who wanted this. So i've decided to upload the three type pac files to my mega account. (PLEASE MAKE SURE THAT YOU BACKUP YOU'RE TYPE A,B AND C PAC FILES FIRST BEFORE YOU OVERWRITE THEM WITH MY ONES)I've included some screenshots of what this does ENJOY!!!DOWNLOAD LINK HERE :)Password is jimmycrane1986 3 Quote
Robbie686 Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Rather than remove it why dont you replace it with something? Even if its a logo saying modded superstar or something? Looks a bit daft just blank. Quote

Looks a bit daft just blank.I myself prefer it empty, especially on the Matchup screen. If you have non-mooded superstars in the match you seem them on the screen only and not some immersion breaking text or whatever. For me this is the best solution until we actually figure out how to add renders for modded superstars one day. 3 Quote
TheVisitorX Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 (edited) Unfortunately it does not work for me, it crashes the game after the "logo transition animation" even if I do not have selected modded superstars . I've restored the old files and all is working fine. Edited May 1, 2016 by TheVisitorX Quote

While all the mods have no render in the character selection, I also noticed that Stone Cold '97 suddenly has the Black Dummy Render instead his usual one. Also, the Japanese Referee has the Black Dummy Render still (I guess one would have to change the DLC file as well).Maybe it would be better to really replace it with a blank, transparent .dds file instead of doing it this way.Update 1: Oddly enough, whenever I replace the files with my backups it doesn't help and it remains messed up now. I'll have to check if they're somehow cached in the temp folder.Update 2: Seems like a reboot cleared the cache. I guess these assets get cached somewhere and are the reason why the game starts quickly after the first time after a reboot. Edited May 1, 2016 by Cave Waverider Quote

Jimmycrane1986 Posted May 2, 2016 Author Posted May 2, 2016 It's alright, it was worth a shot.Since I still have the backups I might do what @robbie686 mention and make a custom render for all modded superstars something that is other than the default one. and then since the in-game one is much smaller we could see how a wwe logo looks like in the box for the type C pac Quote
