cloudropis Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) There is a Bayley CAW I really need for my Universe, made by Diamond rank user windingsheet, but I have 920 logos already in my folder and, as you probably all know, going over 1000 seems to cause save corruption. This CAW is very high quality and seems abundant in logos, so I'm worried I'll actually go overboard, and I was wondering if someone who's still way below the limit or doesn't have many CAWs yet could please download it and check how many logos it has got.In case it's needed, I'll describe how to check the number of logos (maybe someone wants to help but doesn't know about the logo thing): before turning on the game go to your Steam installation folder and check the folder at userdata/<idnumber>/385730, right-click the "remote" folder and select properties, write down how many files it contains. Turn on the gane, download the CAW, exit the game and check the folder again, subtract the old number from the one you got.Much appreciated! EDIT I don't know why I used the word "mod" in the title, I clearly meant CAW Edited April 30, 2016 by cloudropis Quote
Apost Khan Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 (edited) The 1000 file thing looks to be a myth at this point. I'm at 1,599 files right now with no issues. After extensive testing, I've found that it all comes down to luck really, and avoiding corrupt caws. All I can tell you is that I've downloaded all his caws, none have caused me any issues and they are all awesome. Edited April 30, 2016 by Apost Khan Quote
Cave Waverider Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Then post it in the CAW section, not the Mod one. You can always edit the title of your post, by the way.I'd also suggest to wait a little bit, as @LouEvil76 is working on porting @xWeasel's excellent Bayley Mod to WWE 2k16 so you won't be dependent on a CAW anymore. 1 Quote

I'll pay more attention next time. Thanks for the headsup, I looked for a modded version of Bayley to avoid problems but couldn't find a finalized mod, I'll look forward to it.The 1000 file thing looks to be a myth at this point. Also worrying at the same time because at least I had something I thought avoiding would help not having my save corrupt, but if the 1000 files thing is a myth then WWE 2k16's saves really are a ticking bomb that could explode anytime for no reason. Still thanks for putting my mind at ease. Quote

I know Cave disagrees with me, but IMO the safest thing you can do is just totally turn off cloud sync for WWE and manually back up your save. It's a worthless feature that just eats up bandwidth. Of course I'll disagree, albeit slightly, since I'm playing the game on multiple computers in different locations and the Cloud Sync can be a godsend, as I have my saves at my disposal on every computer wherever I am at. That said, turning off cloud sync certainly can be a viable option for those that just play the game on one computer. And I've also mentioned it in my guide.
