I'm trying my hand at Mini Trons but am having a problem. After I extract the .pac file using the X-PacKer, I try rename my bink'd bk2 minitron into the extracted .pac but the bk2 stays a bk2 file. It doesn't turn into the .pac so when inject it it doesn't do anything. Am I missing something here?

Hi dude welcome to the forums :)

Firstly are you're mini tron bk2 files the correct width and height that a mini tron has to be?

Secondly - If they are the right size, Then the way they work is take The Rock's for example His mini tron pac file is 0100.pac and inside this will be a bk2 file called M0100

So say you wanted to replace rock's mini tron with one of you're own you would simply rename you're bk2 file to M0100.bk2 make sure you don't forget the extension .bk2 at the end and then open up the rock's mini tron pac which is 0100 and can be found in the MOV Folder and then SS_Mini Folder and then that's all you have to do, make sure you delete the 0100.pac.bk file that xpacker will create, then load the game and you're mini tron you injected will show up when the rock comes out. If you wish to try this out, just go into the MOV folder and then SS_Mini Folder and make a copy of the 0100.pac file first onto you're desktop incase anything goes wrong - Good Luck ! :)

Why not using Custom Character Tools for that? It does it all automatically..

Can you link me to that? I'm new to modding and only just picked up the game and X-Packer tool recently.

Link is in my sig. below! To make sure it works leave the game running in main menu when you do anything with CCT! Then go to Inject and there you will find an option to inject bk2 files into minitrons, walltrons and titantrons. Simply select your bk2 file, a slot id and what you want to inject and that's it.. But it does only work if you use an "official" version of 2K16!

Thank you, that seems a lot easier than what I'm doing.

I figured out what was wrong, though. Under Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Folder Options I had to click the View tab then check the box to enable Hide Extensions for Known fFil Types. That let me change my walltron.bk2 to a .pac so that I could inject it into the original .pac file.
