Sorry to hear about your save, but as I've said multiple times, do not work on the directly. Always take a backup and work with the backup.

The save is very volatile this year, hence I wrote a tutorial on how to edit it. Since the following the method I've posted, I haven't had any corruption issues.

But what good does working on the backup files do since the game automatically loads the savefile in userdata? If I make a save backup, do all my work there and point Steam at that folder as the new save folder, wouldn't that make it the regular save folder?

you obviously haven't read the tutorial I've posted.

Yeah, I don't usually check the profile of every forum member I interact with in the chance that he maybe posted a tutorial about my specific problem.

He created X-Packer you might want to follow up on tutorials he makes about it.  I've been meaning to make an updated version of my tutorial to match tekken's more closely.

I do not use X-Packer, I think I saw a tutorial topic by him but I skipped because of that. I checked the forums but I couldn't find it back, could you please link it?

I would suggest skipping the sarcasm and actually reading all the tutorials which people take the time to write.

Considering that I mentioned a tutorial addressing this specific issue, two posts above your post, there is no need to view my profile for this purpose.

A lot of the questions raised are already addressed in these. The tutorials are usually linked in the stickies and in the modding discussion section.

You simply said the "work on a backup" thing was something you mention often, not that there was a tutorial specifically addressing that issue, how could've I known that without you mentioning it in the following post? .

It was worded in a way that made me think you were referring to the general X-Packer tutorials, my bad.
