Create a Wrestler and Community Creations Problem

I download 10 superstars or (Create-a-Wrestler). When I reach the 10th superstar (who is Charlotte), and go for the 11th superstar (AJ Styles) to select a save slot, this is what happens: (Image #1).

As you can see, the wrestler, Charlotte is the only one with a picture on image #1.

Moving on. Please take note of Austin Aries and Jushin Thunder Liger from Image #1.

I go to character selection and this is what I see when choosing Jushin Thunder Liger and Austin Aries: Image #2

As you can see, they are both a generic Image. They ARE playable though.

When I use them though, this is what i will see: Image #3

Generic Superstars again.

When I go to Creations to edit or even look at the superstars, this is what I see, Only Charlotte, everybody else, gone: Image #4

Notes: 
1. Up to the 9th Wrestler downloaded, it was still okay. (Everyone was still playable) 
2. When I downloaded Charlotte (Everyone was Gone!) 
3. When going to Creations to edit the superstar: I can only see Charlotte, and everybody else labeled as none.
4. All of them have the correct information and moveset - only the CAW model is lost.
5. I have Steam Cloud Turned off.
6. Can not be fixed with a New Save from a Corrupted save from personal experience.
7. A similar thing happens when i download a CAW and i get the message (CAW is damaged or something) then all the other caws end up like this

This is the complete story. I do not believe it is connection issues, can I can use the internet and WWE 2K15 PC version very well.

Any thoughts anyone?

Answers to some of these questions may help me:

1. How many downloaded CAWS do you guys have?

2. A new save file for me from a corrupted file starts with only 4 files on the save folder which is weird. How many files are in your fresh save file?

3. When I download CAWs with certain logos, their logos do not appear.

This is very strange, I haven't seen this issue. Then again, I have perhaps 3-4 downloaded CAWs and the rest I have are my own creations or alternate attires I created myself.

Does it matter which CAW you download as #10 or when you download that Charlotte? I heard that a save game can corrupt if you download a corrupted CAW, so perhaps that specific Charlotte is the culprit? Of course, if you don't get the corruption when you download Charlotte in another slot and/or if you download another character in Slot 10?

Also just to check, do you have enough hard disk space free when the error occurs?

go Steam => userdata => <youruserid> => 385730 and check the properties of the remote folder. Does it have more than 1000 files?

You Replied! I have 60gigabytes of spare memory on my Drive where i have wwe 2k16. I dont think it matters which superstar i put on the 10th slot

I have done some progress on this!

1. You are right i think as there are some CAWs that are corrupt, now i have 7 downloaded caws. I made a back up save of they are safe. From here on out its a matter of trial and error (download- check to see if my CAWs are still alive- if not- back up). That charlotte must have been the culprit, although there are still other CAWs out there that cause my other CAWs to corrupt.

2. I have been keeping in mind what people say about keeping files below 1000 on the save file, so I take note of that.

3. One ground breaking thing that happened was: I downloaded a Maryse (and it said the File was Broken) then the same thing happened. The difference is that the maryse was not downloaded unlike this charlotte where it got downloaded. So with the maryse, i ended up with no Caws at all, while with the charlotte, i ended up with only her. (these were 2 separate occasions- 2 batches of caws getting deleted).

4. I guess corrupted CAWs damage the save. My theory is: When they updated the new WWE2K16.EXE file, i heard that everybody moved up by 10 bytes or HEX CODES or something. I guess this was not adjusted for CAWS uploaded on Community Creations, so by the time we download and install them, they corrupt the save.

5. This method of 'corrupting the save' actually only ruins the CAWs. The Save file is Still playable- and you can download new CAWs again. I would rather call these CAWs that ruin other CAWs 'Bad CAWs'

6. I have alternate attires, so i think making your own mods and doing alternate attires dont ruin the CAWs.

Well for me: the fix to this for now is to:

Be careful when downloading CAWs, check everytime if they dont ruin other caws, Backing up save file when youve accumulated CAWs youre happy with. And most especially for me, being patient, and keeping it together when the CAWs disappear.

My advice to you is just download all the caws you want before doing anything else like career mode, showcase mode ect. Then make note of what ones work properly, their tags, who created them, how many you can download before hitting 1000 files, (it should be around 38ish) ect, and maybe keep track of what ones to avoid, then once you have a list of good / working caws, start a new save file, get all the working caws you can and then you can start in on actually playing the game. It's absurd that you need to go through all that work just to use caws, but it is what it is and they likely won't bother patching the game since 2K clearly cares very little about PC users, we are just icing on the cake. If you didn't know, thankfully you can download more caws by moving your system clock ahead a day once you hit your 20 DL limit.

thanks for taking the time to reply, i am sitting at about 200+ files right now,, and i hope to be able to download more. i will do ehat you said- download everything i want first, before i proceed with my career or anhthing or even modding. it was very frustrating, and i think somewhere i was desperate, and yes theres a very little chance 2K will patch everything up. i hope you guys take something away from my experience.

I think we've all learned the hard way with 2k16, I didn't have the bug that you suffered but I lost a 50 hour save where I'd edited every moveset and had done extensive attribute edits for everyone. I'd put 2k16 in the top 25 for most broken PC games I own and I own an ungodly amount of games. It's Ubisoft level jank.

I have no problems with caws or saves..

yes I had some problems few  days after getting the game

but I started a new save from March 18 & it's still going good with 60 caws...your best solution here would be to let 2K Support know your problems ..I think they are still working on a patch fix for this...

hi adm king can you look to see how many files are in your save folder?
