Swapping Sting's Coat with the Undertaker's?

Recommended Posts

I would like to know how I'd go about doing this. I have all of Undertaker's textures for the coat and used anatomizer to single out just Taker's jacket in the 0000.yobj, but from there I have no clue on what to do next. I tried doing random things like exporting the coat and trying to inject it into Sting's 0000.yobj, but there's vertices problems. I've tried looking at other tut's to get clarification, but it seems a bit different with coats? I'm not really sure. I notice Taker has 23XX and a bunch of other things showing in XP, but Sting doesn't have any of those. Any help to point me in the right direction would be appreciated.

You have to inject Taker's whole 0000.yobj (with everything else hidden using anatomizer) into Sting's pach NOT into his 000.yobj.

You'll likely need to take all of Sting's files and put them into another pac (ex: the Rock) that has extra yobj slots (ex: 001A, 001B) and then inject Taker's whole modified 0000.yobj into one of those slots (ex: 001A).

NOTE: If you do as explained above and have an extra yobj slot unused (ex: if you use the 001A slot but not the 001B slot) then you will likely need to extract the unused yobj, unrender everything using anatomizer, and re-inject it. If not you may end up with extra parts you do not want. For example, if you use the Rock's pac, but only need slot 001A, you will end up with Taker's coat (001A) and Rock's elbow pad (001B) on Sting unless you unrender as explained.

so when you say with everything hidden, you mean Taker's YOBJ with just the coat right? also, with Stings files, do i just inject the 0040904,pach (coat attire) into the Rock's Pac, or all of the zlibs/yobjs individually?

Yes yobj with only the coat visible, and inject individually yobjs, etc.

I just tried this and when I inject all Sting's stuff into Rock's, I'm not able to re-render. extracting the the pach's again, it instead of a zlib, it changes 0000.zlib to 0000.pac and that doesn't open in xrey anymore when you rename it.

Should I just do this with the 40902 (normal attire) vs the 40904 (entrance) Sting ? Or do I have to do it to both? when I tried ingame (not being able to unrender the rest of the rock's stuff, it just crashed, loading half way into the matchup screen. Nothing is changed in the Superstar Studio section.

Here's kind of a step by step, to see where I went wrong.

  1. Extract Sting's ch40904.pac (coat attire)
  2. Decompress all of 0040904.pac Screen%20Shot%202016-04-16%20at%2010.03.
  3. Extract Rock ch10002.pac
  4. Single out Undertaker's coat (object18 in xrey) in Undertaker's 0000.yobj with anatomizer
  5. inject all of Sting's zlib.uncompressed files into Rock's 0010002.pac. 0000, 000a, 000c, 0050, 00ca, 00cd, 00ce.  (This may be where I ran into trouble, because I'm not 100% sure about how I'm supposed to do this. Do I only inject the zlib.uncompressed files into the matching FileNames? Sting's pach only has 11 slots, 3 of which the Rock doesn't have, including hair. So I don't know if I just go in order after 001B, or do I just match up what Sting has with what the rock has, then just inject hair in the last slot?) Undertaker's coat was injected into 001A. 001B was left alone. Screen%20Shot%202016-04-16%20at%2010.19.
  6. inject the Rock's 0010002.pac into Sting's ch40904.pac and paste back into my ch folder

Oh, I forgot the Rock doesn't have a hair slot. Maybe try the process with a pac like Harper/Wyatt. They should have hair slots, and an extra beard slot you could use for Sting's coat.

That's similar to the Rock's. What would 001a, 001b, 00fa, 00fb be for? Taker's stuff? I figure I swap dds files to Undertakers for the jacket, but I'm just a lil lost on the rest.

Alright thanks. That worked. I have just a few more questions and I think I'm finished with this part, and can start designing attires lol

How did you know which order to sort them? is there always a particular order for them, like what they actually do?

Also, is there any way to animate the coat? I noticed, just like long hair, there's a top part and a bottom part. If I wanted to animate the coat, would I just set the top to be object0, and the bottom to be object1 in my yobj, and import it into 001A?
