Recently started modding, and so far going well and that. But recently tried something new that's not going as planned.

If I have a pac file that I use x-packer to extract all the textures and the yobj to edit, and within the yobj I change one of the objects within the yobj from a set of tights to a singlet, how would I inject the new texture file so that it know to apply to the new object?

I've deleted all traces of the old tights in the dds files, and i've created a new dds with the texture. But it's not showing in game, how would I inject the new texture to the right object? what am I doing wrong?

Depends on what you did. If you remodelled a set of tights to make them look like a singlet then it uses the same texture file but will look distorted due to the stretching done.

A better way to do it would be:

1) Find another model with a singlet.

2) Use anatomizer to hide everything in the singlet yobj file except the singlet.

3) Inject that yobj into an unused yobj slot in the main model's pac that you're editing (you may need to use someone else's pac and inject all your files into it if your main model doesn't have any slots you can replace).

4) Inject a modified 00CE file to insure proper rendering (there are a number of mods that use this file so it shouldn't be too hard to find).

5) Use XP to create new texture archives with all your textures from the 000A archive plus whatever textures are associated with the singlet from the singlets 000A archive.

6) Do the same for the 000C textures (and any others if neccessary).

7) Inject those archives into your main model's pac.

Thanks!!

I was using a singlet from another model in the first place, but it just wasn't showing textures. I followed what you said and it worked great this time!

Appreictae the help.
