Never installed a mod before. What programming do I need?

I am not skilled enough to make a mod but I see awesome old school NWA on wwe 2k16 on YouTube ( it's the only reason I bought the game) I have watched the "how to" videos on you tube but I     am sorry to say I am a  idiot. I downloaded the HDX but I do not know how to use it  in conjunction  with www 2k and the mod?   Can anyone help me with a help on how to work HDX with a mod and the game?  I need to get the 4 horsemen into my game for the love of mankind lol.  

For all the guys who make mods I have a great  appreciation  for you guys. I spent all day on a really bad barry windham, Muta, Candido and Koloff. They all look like crap. I don't know how you guys can do what you do !!!
