Tornado_X Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 (edited) Thought this would be a cool showcase that could potentially happen, Savage is one of all time favorite wrestlers, I didn't feel like I should include WCW, as most of his matches there would be either impossible to recreate (World War 3 three rings match) or characters I don't think would get included (Meng) and the rest is like years after his WCW debut (nWo which he was only part of for a short amount of time) so it wouldnt make sense, so I just kept it simple with WWF Only. Don't take it to heart like some did in the Hogan one I made, its just an idea, but if anyone has suggestions, feel free! --- Macho Madness --- Mini WWE2K Showcase Idea (Could be used for DLC)Randy Savage w/ Miss Elizabeth vs. Tito Santana (c) For the WWF Intercontinental Championship at Prime Time Wrestling (Boston Garden) in 1986 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage (c) w/ Miss Elizabeth vs. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat for the WWF Intercontinental Championship at Wrestlemania III in 1987 / One on One Singles Match*Randy Savage w/ Miss Elizabeth & Hulk Hogan vs. Honky Tonk Man (c) w/ Jimmy Hart, Bret Hart, & Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart For the WWF Intercontinental Championship at Saturday Nights Main Event XII in 1987 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage w/ Miss Elizabeth & Hulk Hogan vs. Ted DiBiase w/ Andre The Giant for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania IV in 1988 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage (c) w/ Miss Elizabeth vs. Andre The Giant w/ Bobby "The Brain' Heenan for the WWF Championship at Madison Square Garden in 1988 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage and Hulk Hogan w/ Miss Elizabeth vs. Andre The Giant and Ted DiBiase w/ Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan at SummerSlam 1988 / Two on Two Tag Team MatchRandy Savage (c) vs. Hulk Hogan for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania V in 1989 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage w/ Sensational Sherri vs. 'Hacksaw' Jim Duggan for the King of the Ring Crown at WWF Superstars 1989 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage w/ Sensational Sherri vs. Hulk Hogan (c) for the WWF Championship at The Main Event 1990 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage w/ Sensational Sherri vs. Dusty Rhodes at SummerSlam 1990 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage w/ Sensational Sherri vs. The Ultimate Warrior in a Retirement Match at Wrestlemania VII in 1991 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage vs. Jake 'The Snake' Roberts at This Tuesday in Texas in 1991 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage vs. Ric Flair (c) w/ Mr. Perfect for the WWF Championship at Wrestlemania VIII in 1992 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage (c) vs. The Ultimate Warrior for the WWF Championship at SummerSlam 1992 / One on One Singles MatchRandy Savage vs. Crush at Wrestlemania X 1994 / One on One Falls Count Anywhere Match * - a very important match as it was the match that united Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage to create the Mega Powers Edited March 27, 2016 by Tornado_X Quote
Cerb Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 I wouldn't call it a "mini showcase", but I guess you did because of how big Stone Cold's was, but that was WAY too big. The ones in 2K15 were perfect, 10-15 matches. Quote

I thought Stone Cold's should have included more bonus matches, completely missed the invasion, missed all of 2002, (granted he didn't have many matches) a few more raw / smackdown matches, there was some 2003 matches, would have been cool to see goldberg vs. lesnar w/ austin as ref from wm20, but oh well. but this years dlc showcase was 9 matches, i don't think it would hurt to add a few more Quote

There is no way they can cover an entire career especially someone like Austin's, and there is no way anyone would play through the whole thing. I didn't even play through 10% of Austin's showcase, but the HoF one was nice because every match was different and the whole thing was short and varied.Showcase modes should focus on either specific rivalries, a single era or few year time span of one superstar (Hall of Pain), or just feature top 10 matches of that Superstars career. I think Stone Cold is 30 parts or something? Absolutely insane. Especially considering we already played that in WWE '13, and frankly it's not even the most interesting career. If it was Undertaker and it spanned from his debut all the way up until 2015 then I would maybe accept them to go into the 20 part range, but 30 parts for like what, a 10 year career we have already played? No way I'm touching that.Sorry for the little rant but I was so disappointed in this years showcase and I feel like they could do SO much more with it. Like feature some of the greatest tag teams, greatest feuds of a specific era, greatest wrestlemania matches, they can literally take any "top 10 video" you can think of around WWE and make a showcase mode out of it. Featuring just one Superstar is kind of lazy imo, unless it's very special. Quote

I did one for Hogan and it was about 25-30. I didn't like the HOF one. I got through all matches in 45 minutes. They missed so many great parts of the match it felt all rushed. Although I did like path of the warrior last year. Quote
Cerb Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 Yeah I just don't think they should be more than 10-15 unless they are really special. Last year they made 4 showcases, 2 already in game, and now they just made one and a tiny one as DLC? Majorly disappointed and I hope they do at least 3 showcases next year. The showcase mode isn't the main part of the game at all, you aren't supposed to spend more than an hour two tops doing one showcase. Quote
the King Lives Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 ummm savage was part of the nWo for 2 years. what are you talking about?not to mention his feuds with flair sting luger bret hogan etc etc and etc. to say that wcw doesn't count is completely ludacris and to be honest i'd rather have wcw tights macho instead of wwf trunks macho. i had enough of that in 2k14. Savage joined in the beginning of '97, and left during '98. His first feud in the nWo was with DDP and his wife. I don't think they'll include his wife as she was a big part of it, his next feud was with Lex Luger, and he lost all their matches, then was with Hogan, which was the start of the Wolfpac, which at that point Savage left because of his torn ACL. I think it would be completely stupid to skip from 1994 all the way to '97. He had a memorable match with Flair at Bash 95, but that was a Lumberjack match so idk how they can recreate that, and then Savage's dad was in the feud so he wouldnt be in the game, then there was the World War 3 Match that he won, and it would be completely impossible to recreate that. It would make no sense to have one match to sum up an entire year. So I didn't think it would be (game wise) possible to do that. Im being realistic. Like in the austin one, they only had two WCW matches, and one ECW. If you insist, I would put Flair vs. Savage at SuperBrawl VI inside a Steel cage for Savage's WCW World Title, and Nash and Sting vs. Savage and Sid Vicious for the WCW World Title, in a tag team match at Slamboree '98.
