Game Crash on start up thanks to new patch

You are absolutely thick headed. Supporting it has nothing to do with their official forums creating a subforum for modding. Look up the definition of support.

Oh and BTW using that logic 2k16 isnt supported. there's no modding forum.

You're acting like they don't want modding at all, they encourage people to mod the game, if they truly wouldn't want it, Marcus wouldn't have said what he said, nor would there be an official section for modding on 2K forums. If they encourage it, that means they support the idea of modding (not that they support you with tools and stuff) but you know. So as I said, if they had a problem with people modding, they would say something. They wouldn't just release a patch and say a big "Fuck you" to the PC community, and give us no reason why, they no longer encourage modding. That being said. It's just a crappy patch that will most likely be removed soon with a newer patch.

I just got the game to launch, I deleted WWE 2k16.exe and chunk_cache from the main folder, then i verified the files and now it launches. 
I know some don't want to "verify" their files tho.

You don't have to redownload the whole game, just delete your wwe2k16.exe and chunk_cache, then in steam verify your files and it will download whatever files are missing.

No, he acted like he said they allow ii without officially supporting it. Also called "unofficial mod support", which is what most games have. 

I don't understand why it's so hard to udnerstand such an easy concept. Thick-headed was on point.

You don't have to redownload the whole game, just delete your wwe2k16.exe and chunk_cache, then in steam verify your files and it will download whatever files are missing.

Once again, I never said they dont want you to mod the game. If they did they'd take extreme measures. I never said anything about the patch being a big fuck you to modders. The patch is meant to fix the base game, which is what it supposedly did. It's not put out to accommodate any modders. They're patching the base game, they couldn't care less if your mods get messed up because they're supporting the game they released without mods. Some of you jumping to conclusions that 2k are assholes who go back on their word of "support" really need to realize they're not supporting modding. no matter which way you twist and turn shit they're supporting their game, not our mods.

Little Update guys I'm currently installing a fresh install of the game to my external F drive on a new steam install aswell, I've copied over my current wwe 2k16 save folder with my modified game save - Slots for Punk, Hogan, RVD ETC enabled into the new userdata folder that the new steam install created then I will copy paste my evt, ch, titan tron folders and misc_start_dlc10.pac and strings.pac folder over to the fresh install of the game and hope for the best and see if it works. I'll keeps you guys informed and please don't reply to me saying you're stupid etc that's not gonna work, I'm just trying to play around with some things and see if it will make the game work again and only trying to help the SmackTalks community

Update - No luck guys, as soon I copied over my complete pac folder that contained mods etc the new install now gives me same error. Shame  I tried

you dont have backup? then redownload the game like i'm doing,thank God i have a fast internet,so at 1.4 mb/s,in 8/9 hours it will be downloaded

Not sure. Point is the game is fine once doing this, so it doesn't seem like there are any new checksums or anything. I can't explain why it didn't work but does after verifying cache and then just re-installing mods, but it does.

Not sure. Point is the game is fine once doing this, so it doesn't seem like there are any new checksums or anything. I can't explain why it didn't work but does after verifying cache and then just re-installing mods, but it does.

After getting the game to launch properly, and checking out my save file, I closed the game, copied my RVD to the Pac folder (with the intention of installing it with cheat engine) and game crashes at splash screen.

Haha I mean I checked to make sure all my created wrestlers were still there (since I've had my save wipe before)

Do you have the RVD from last years game installed? Because I'm thinking that might be messed up.
