What's fun about Universe mode?

I'm trying to figure out what's fun about universe mode. I set up my WWE with Raw, Smackdown, and NXT. As customizable as it seems to be, there's a lot you can't do. I took the Divas off all the shows, but it forces Paige matches every week on NXT. It's a pain to change that every time. I want to do NXT PPVs but whenever I add a PPV to the calendar it just clones whatever the main one is that month.

I can't be the only one who is confused by My WWE and Universe mode basically having the same things you can customize but they are totally separate things. Weird stuff.

I know I'm just bitching here but I'm hoping someone will reply with how they have their Universe set up and how they have fun with it. Because right now I can't find the fun.

It clones the PPV as a base, then you have to customize it.

Paige is being booked on your show because she is probably the champion.

Universe mode is like Franchise mode in a typical sports game, it's amazing if you put in the work to set it all up, but putting in all that work is very time consuming. First you need to vacate all titles not in use and set the champs you want for the belts you are using. You then need to edit the rivalry settings for each person in the game, not just the ones you are using. If you don't edit rival info then people that you don't want will still randomly show up, which is annoying as hell. And then to get the most out of Universe mode you need to completely edit everyone's attributes to accurately represent their card position so you don't have stuff like Adam Rose beating Brock Lesnar. It's also a good idea to fix movesets, since some are just ridiculously inaccurate and use something like my stat tracker to keep track of your universe history. All in all, it's awesome but it takes hours to set up properly.

I like the universe mode it has a lot of fun stuff I just wish there were a lot of more choices in the creation of the universe.

for example if you want to create a universe of say a created roster like ecw or wcw they never have the logo for the brand

it bugs me a lot that it never has the corresponding roster logo.

I haven't touched universe mode yet but I know for created arenas the logos never actually hold during the selection screen. A few are visible and they always pop up during matches where they should and sometimes but not always in the loading screen, if I use the same arena repeatedly then sometimes it'll be visible the next time I go to use it but they disappear again after a while. It's a horribly irritating glitch that makes reading necessary to distinguish created arenas, don't know if it's like that on PS4 but I'm assuming based on his comment that the same thing happens in universe mode on Xbox :\

I basically gave up on using the game rivalries and autobooking. I make my own storylines and cards on a doc file and then play them out in a realistic environment (trying to use some minimal in-ring psychology and such). 

Unfortunately that means too many matches get clean finishes, for next year I'd like more control over breakouts/interferences/fuck finishes

they seem to work for me. i'm on ps4. i do know that using the show thing it shows up blank when you select but it always seems to work for me. Now The Transition effects for the DLC arenas is another story. they all just give you a wwe2k16 transition effect. still don't know why 2k is so obsessed with having their name etched on everything.

i play universe for my youtube channel so i don't just use the rivalries as they are. i may use another profile to say further an austin/rock 97 feud where i have rock attacking austin in street attire before or after his match. all spliced in cutscenes just pieced together but it flows really well.
