Modded Textures won't show up

So I changed the arena advertisement files because having your own ads or pictures etc. in the arena seems to be pretty cool. The thing is I changed the textures and I injected them all back in to the pac file. I checked it before trying so I extracted the .dds files and they where all changed by me. Now the game starts normal but nothing has changed I still have the same textures but how is that even possible when I have changed everything before? If someone can help me, that would be great.

Make sure to delete all .bak files.
