Vintage Arena Effect Removal Mod

It removes the effect completely for all the in-game arenas?

Yes. Tested it with the "This Tuesday In Texas" arena as well as with the 1998 RAW one. I replaced the 3 noise overlay textures used for the effect with "empty" (transparent) ones.

Thank you so much, I hate the grainy effect too, wish they'd give us the option to turn it off as standard.

I have a question, Does it work also with the effects in CAA Mode?! :) I'm very curious ^^

Super. That filter made those arenas to irritating to play in for me. Now it's all good. :)

Not a big deal, but maybe useful for some of you guys. I hate the vintage arena effect (film grain), so...here's a modified PAC, which removes it:

Place in pac/bg/

Don't forget to create a backup of the original file - just in case!

I included this in my top 5 mods so far video. Its so so useful, despite being so simple.

Ooooh... incredibly useful.  I hate the effect, too.  Now I don't have to use a custom arena take.  Thanks a bunch!
