ItzTheRampage Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 too bad that xpacer is not showing me any files that i can import the render to the ltag_TypeC is not being displayed correclty Quote
Robbie686 Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 No Renee Young ID in your list But thxFunily enough there are few people missing in the directory such as finn balor to. But my list is complete. Quote
Kopmeister Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Apparently messed up my attempt at Emma? Followed all the steps and got it done, but the image was waaaay too out of proportion. So I used a different Emma render, put that in to PS, changed that to 1024x1024, saved as .dds, opened it in VS and followed the exact same steps and now its crashing on match up screen. Not too sure why Quote
Robbie686 Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 Make sure to rename .dds back to .pac and also move the backup that it makes of the Ltag from the folder. Quote
Kopmeister Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Make sure to rename .dds back to .pac and also move the backup that it makes of the Ltag from the folder.Okay so now it works (after doing type B?) but the ratio of the picture and stuff is all screwed up, not sure why because it looked perfect in VS,does the game do some weird scaling on the pictures? Quote
Robbie686 Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 No it should be fine as long as you make sure both pictures are scaled to 1024 x 1024 then paste the new render over and adjust the image when in VS Quote
Robbie686 Posted March 15, 2016 Author Posted March 15, 2016 Just make sure it matches the render your replacing. Remember you can use Ctrl & A to select the image in VS and rescale it in there. Quote
Ashba Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Open both and try to match the new render size with the old one and you won't have trouble. Quote
Kopmeister Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 I tried that whilst I was waiting for a response, got menu selection working! Looks great, just got to do match up screen! Great tutorial by the way Quote

Left a message on Tekken's thread, hopefully he'll get back to it. Also looked for current Emma titantron, can't find it anywhere, may have to use a custom one until her current one gets put out.Done it and its still stretched if you happen to have Emma's original stuff I'd appreciate having it so I could start over, pretty sure I've messed up aha Edited March 15, 2016 by Kopmeister Quote
[Kurichenko_DX] Posted March 16, 2016 Posted March 16, 2016 When I click on uncompress on the file 0001 I have an error, what is it? How to solve it?? Quote
LexRed Posted March 23, 2016 Posted March 23, 2016 Is it possible to do this without Xpacker? (if not, maybe in the future?) Quote
TBM Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Is it possible to do with Photoshop? Usually DDS files work fine with PS, but it's coming up as black with this. EDIT: Can you also explain what the different types are used for? Edited March 24, 2016 by TBM Quote
abumaster Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 (edited) Any idea how to inject the render using HxD @robbie686? Edited March 24, 2016 by abumaster Quote
Genericho™ Posted May 8, 2016 Posted May 8, 2016 WITHOUT X-PACKER??Relax bro, people are still trying to find a way. Quote
Robbie686 Posted May 8, 2016 Author Posted May 8, 2016 Ok folks so many questions about adding renders for modded superstars in 2K16 - The answer is simply at this point in time it cant be done - However the key behind it all is finding what is linking the modded .pac files to the dummy.dds file * The Blank Render * i have spent months trying to solve this but seem to be running around in circles. Perhaps between @pozzum & @tekken57 they could figure something out? Quote
tekken57 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Ok folks so many questions about adding renders for modded superstars in 2K16 - The answer is simply at this point in time it cant be done - However the key behind it all is finding what is linking the modded .pac files to the dummy.dds file * The Blank Render * i have spent months trying to solve this but seem to be running around in circles. Perhaps between @pozzum & @tekken57 they could figure something out?I assume the logic is in the executable i.e check if a render exists for a slot, if not assign it the blank render. The renders are employing a string hash for the names. In previous games, the renders were named the same as the slot number e.g 100, 101, etc. The key is to figure out what string hash is used to generate the names of the render files. If anyone has any ideas in this regard, post it. 1 Quote
Robbie686 Posted May 9, 2016 Author Posted May 9, 2016 (edited) What about if we start with the CAW's as we know they are created a render. So i downloaded Vampiro from CC and opened his info in HXD but there's nothing in there that resembles .dds so i think Tekken is right its finding the correct string linking it to the render - or even if we could locate where the CAW render is saved to.I also decompressed the main body file and put that into HXD to see if anything in there could have been linking it - I found Vampiro along with some more info on him but nothing that sticks out if anyone else can see anything?I have 2 CAW - Vampiro & Billy Kidman - The renders must be in here somewhere... jakeypearce Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I believe KG's tool allows you to use a modded render on a CAW. Why don't you compare the differences between the standard "CASADDT0000" and the same one with a modded render? Quote
phatkroger10 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 @robbie686 @jakeypearceI just started a thread yesterday on my individual findings. I got the image extracted and viewable, but I'm not sure course of action for replacing and more importantly, recompressing.Give it a look and let me know if I can help. Quote
4 Life Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 Hi folks, hope someone can help me. I've replaced Bobby Heenan's render with Hollywood Hogan's from 2K15 as I've added Heenan to the main roster and then replaced him with Hogan, all working fine. The render though is a bit of a weird one - if I scroll upwards, then I can reach Hogan no problem and his render appears without a hitch. However, if I scroll downwards, the game crashes to desktop every time I reach Big Show.Any idea what's gone wrong? Quote
