Tutorial on replacing renders with xpacker.

Changing Renders - Typea 1024 x 1024 / Typeb 1042 x 1024 / Typec 512 x512

> Open Xpacker 10.4 ( Open > PC PAC FILE > PAC CONTAINING DIRECTORIES > Browse to ltag_type*.pac - Which is located C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\WWE2K16\pac\menu\assets\_wwe16singleread\ssface\type*
> Once open - In the top right there is a purple box that says uncompress - Click this. Make a new folder on the desktop and uncompress to that folder.
> Open my Renders & ID's spreadsheet at this point and locate the render you would like to replace.
> Click file on xpacker once again then open, Then Pach file. Find and locate in that new folder you created on the desktop and double click it.
> In here you will see 2 files named 0000 & 0001, Here you want to click on uncompress on the file 0001 - Uncompress this to the desktop.
> Once this is uncompressed to the deskop you will see 2 files on the desktop 0001.bpe & 0001.pac. Ignore the 0001.bpe and rename the 0001.pac file to 0001.dds.
> Now you can double click on the 0001.dds file and will open im Visual studio - I am using visual studio 2015.
> Once this opens in visual studio you will see the file size is 1024 x 1024 or 512 x 512 - This must always remain the same.
> Download your render from the internet baring in mind it has to be 1024 x 1024 / 512 x 512 or above resolution.
> When downloaded the new render rename it from .png to .dds and double click it - This will then open in Visual studio.
> You will now need to resize the render you just opened in visual studio - In the top right you will see it says Width & Height this needs to be changed to 1024 x 1024 / 512 x 512 - To do this you need to click the little icon between the width and height before you change it.
> Once you have resized this image click on the image and Ctrl + A to select the image then Ctrl + C to copy the image.
> Now go over the file 0001.dds that is also open in visual studio - Keep a note of how the image looks size wize on the green background as you will need to match it in a second.
> Press Ctrl + A to select the image and then delete - This will now leave you with a blank canvas - Now press Ctrl + V - This will paste your new render onto the blank canvase - Now resize the new image as similar size wise as the previous image you just deleted.
> Once you are happy click save - This can take up to 5 minutes to save depending on the speed of your pc.
> Now that is saved on the desktop as 0001.dds - Rename it back to 0001.pac.
> In Xpacker click file > Open > pc pac file > PACH File then open FB92A8B6 once again and where it says file 0001 next to it click compress and inject - Then locate your new render file on your desktop names 0001.pac - It should say injected succesfully.
> With that now injected if you go back to xpacker and then open > PC PAC > Pac containing directories - Open ltag_type*.pac - Locate the file but do not sort by file name as this can mess it up - You need to seach manually.
> Once you have found it - Click Inject and locate your file and that should be it done.
> Please note this can be a bit fiddly and if it doesnt work the first time try again and it should work fine.

Enjoy :)

I have built an excel table complete with all renders and file ID's - This includes TYPE A/B/C all DLC.

thanks dude :)

what visual studio do you use buddy? i can't remember if it's 2010 or not?

Posted

Im using 2015 mate but i dont think it matters.

So i have unpacked all the render files and no CAW to be seen which indicates that the renders for the CAWs must be somewhere within the save data.

I could make a pack but not everyone would want the same renders and change of characters. Plus i cant get C type renders to work without crashing the game yet.
