How is the CAW creation situation on PC?

WWE 2k15 had a very, very poor selection of CAWs. "No big deal", I thought, "WWE 2k15 has been an underwhelming game and didn't even sell that well, it's obvious people won't bother creating content for such a lacking game". But 2k16 is not faring that good as well.

I know it's been released one day ago, but some CC sections are lacking in such a terrible way that it doesn't feel like a good excuse. I was wondering if/how many pro CAW creators are going to make quality content for the PC version like the console version has.

I know about the modding community, which I very appreciate, but I hope those modders won't just ignore the pretty great creation tools the game offers just to make additional characters by themselves with their own tools which, IMO, need so many compromises they aren't worth it over regular CAWs.

You wont get quality creations on the first day. It's just not going to happen. Nor will you get everything that you want. It'll probably flesh out after a few weeks. I suppose you also have to consider that most of the better creators are on console, and likely wont feel the desire to move over this late into the life cycle.

The only problem I have is the 9 year olds who change the colour of Finn Balor's in-game demon facepaint, and deem it worthy of an upload. Whats even worse is the kids who praise these other kids as gods, downloading these 1-minute creations and making the most downloaded page look like living cancer.

I wouldn't know of quality creations if not for this site. I always go here and search for CAW's I would like instead of on the CC. Which is kind of sad.

Yea I've got to agree with that. It's also kinda depressing when you see a lot of sub par caws as the top downloaded, especially when there are amazing caws of the same people getting overlooked completely.. Hell before I made Jerry Lynn the best one on CC was a default caw with a wildly inaccurate attire, and choppy as fuck face photo slapped over his face (and it didn't even line up properly, like it was pushed over to one side of his face). I usually wouldn't even bother checking CC unless I'm specifically looking for something I haven't seen posted here, to be fair you can sometimes find decent stuff but usually all you really find is dog shit.

I mean the compromises you have to make for mods vs regular caws. ie, face animation disabled, having to replace one existing character (plus needing to either replace name and menu portrait by hex editing or leave them as it is), messed up announcer voice, etc. It was cool for 2k15 since the creation suit was very poor, but I see great looking CAWs for the console versions of the game and I hope we'll see the same for the PC port without people just ignoring the improved Creation Suit just to stick with third party mods.

Wanna talk about the AJ Styles CAW that looked nothing even remotely similar to the real one, while a good one was in third page or something?

Luckily the latter is now the most downloaded AJ and I think second overall, but I really don't understand why people just download the first thing they see.

Exactly, it just buries all the good shit and makes it so much harder to find quality work. I know what comes first is always going to have an edge, but I can think of a few examples of caws being uploaded around the same time where the inferior caw got a massive edge in downloads. Kung Fu's CM Punk comes to mind, his was amazingly accurate (actually, it was probably the best caw I've seen made for 2K16 thus far) but surprisingly got jack shit downloads. The top downloaded one is actually pretty decent to be fair, but in terms of accuracy it doesn't even compare and it was only uploaded maybe a week earlier. I get that sometimes you're gonna have to settle for a sub par caw if you really want someone in your game, but I don't get why more people don't at least replace them when a better alternative comes along.

Many reasons: they invested too much time fine tuning the entrances to start from scratch (luckily in 2k16 you can copy entrances), they are champions or something in Universe mode so they can't remove them from the game, don't notice or care about those changes (like how many people thought it was good enough to make one Matador and copy it to get both Diego and Fernando like they were the goddamn Uso) so don't see why they should replace them.

I like the current AJ Styles CAW, but the face can surely be improved and the skin tolor is really weird, as soon as a better one gets released I'll download it and copy moveset and entrance over. That's also why I'm refraining from starting Universe until all the CAWs I need are available.

Yea I totally get the hassle involved in replacing guys after you get them in universe, or whatever. I more or less meant in the instance of taking a shit caw because it's your only option, why keep it when something good pops up? Yea there's a hassle involved, but you'll actually get something that at least resembles the wrestler in game. If the initial caw is decent I fully get remaining content with it. Not to mention it helps kill the dilution of crap on the top downloads page. I guess if people are happy with generic caws dressed up like wrestlers then whatever, just makes it harder for the rest of us who actually have standards to find decent stuff for our games.

I have the pc version and I like the Character creation a lot. It takes a lot of time to make an original character, but if you invest the time, you can make something really unique. I think i`ve spent more hours in there than on the actual game! I could use a few more clothing and a little more generous body options though...

I think 2K could at least fix the "what's hot" feature on CC. It should show like most downloaded/highest rated within the past few days, instead it has some weird type of system, because I NEVER saw it update on PS4. It isn't "hot" if the same creations are on the first page after months into the game. It's basically just a most downloaded section with some other type of formula, I really don't know how it works at all as the top ones aren't the ones with most downloads or high ratings.

I have some good face photos of the 4HW

if someone can give me their attire logos I can upload them on CC
