[Released] Sound Injector / Sound Editor - Updated: 10-11-2016

Posted (edited)

The Sound Injector will be released, when it's ready for prime time. Also don't forget...programming that stuff is only part of the work - testing and debugging may also take a bit ;) Meanwhile, be patient, sit back and enjoy the game (and all the stuff that's already out on Smacktalks of course).

I'm sure TheVisitorX is working hard to ensure we get a solid tool.

Of course, although it's hard for some to enjoy the game without replaced themes (especially those of us who have played the console versions). I just wish I could help in some way, haha.

Understandable. I will complete the last open ids tomorrow. Then I will sent a message to some testers from last year, so they can test this new version. That would be a great help for me because the testing part is one of the most time consuming parts and it's better to test it on some more configurations. Technically part is mostly the same as last year but all ids are new. If anything goes well I will release this version to public. No worries. But each help is very welcome!

Ids still left so far:

André The Giant
The Ascension
Bad News Barrett
Bo Dallas
Brian Pillman 1 | 2
Brie Bella
Col. Mustafa
Curtis Axel
Damien Mizdow
Dean Ambrose
Enzo Amore & Colin Cassady
Erick Rowan
Eva Marie
Fandango
Haku
Heath Slater
Hideo Itami
Luke Harper
Luke Harper & Erick Rowan
Mikey Whipwreck
Paige
Paul Wight
All Stone Cold Steve Austins (Have the ids but not sure which one is which version)

So if anyone has the ids, it would save me some time ;).

I wasn't sure where to really post this but I thought this thread might be appropriate. I've had a look through the sound.pac and it seems it contains all the necessary information of what to play and for who. For example:

29z4dx1.jpg

Now of course I could be wrong, but thought it worth a mention. If nothing comes of it then back to the drawing board :p

Heh, I'd love to help with the testing, so feel free to hit me up.

Anyhow, if you give me the Stone Cold IDs you have and whatever other addresses I need to test it, I can try to get it done via trial and error.

Hmmm... nice find buddy. Maybe this could be the key for the different music for different attires.

Thanks man, just working on this alone makes you my hero.

Brian Phillman 2, Stunning Steve Austine

Luke Harper, Luke Harper & Erick Rowan

These Music is Same.

So I don't know what is correct

When I look out game_sound_m.pck file, 'Brian Phillman 2, Stunning Steve Austine' and 'Luke Harper, Luke Harper & Erick Rowan' have just one music.

I think these music seem not separated.

Wow, I haven't thought that someone would write such a detailed answer to my asking for help! Thank you so much, you save me a lot of time! :)

@Cave Waverider: Sure, I'll add you to the list (again?) :)

With the help of @Rcleon and some final research today all ids are done now. I will package the application and upload a first private beta release for testing. Hope anything will be good and I can release this build on the beginning of next week. I only need to write a tutorial because inject/convert new music is a not so easy task because of the Wwise depencies. Maybe I will link to some video tutorial from last year because the process is the same.

Last year's tutorial should do fine. Perhaps one of our video wizards around here will make an updated one based on it and the new Injector when it's done. :)

Sound Injector 2.0

So, here we are again. New year, new version... This year only @Smacktalks. At the moment this is only a placeholder. Later you will find news and updates about upcoming Sound Injector releases.

Work is going really well so far. I have recreated some parts from last year which saves me a lot of work in future releases. All data is now separated from main program - stored in a xml file. That makes some things a lot easier. Later you'll only need to update that file and not the whole program (only if structure changes).

I can work a lot faster on data updates without touching and compiling the same program again and again. It's also much more flexible and expandable.

I have already included all data elements for Wrestler-Themes, Generic-Themes and Soundtracks (if possible). Only most of the sound ids are still missing. In the next days, I will try to complete most of the ids.. If I find them all ;). DLC is mostly done because there weren't many ids / new sounds...

So yeah, that's it for today... Happy to be here with so many great modders!
