Yes, unfortunately they have removed the links to version 2014.1.5. But it does not work with higher versions so I have to convert all template to this version first.

I was a bit bored today so... Here is a new approach to inject sound files. Maybe for a future SI release or another tool?

Inspired by the great "Ravioli Game Tools" I've created that piece of code from scratch. It is not only possible to inject/replace sounds but also to extract and play them directly. If an id has an entry in the xml file it shows the "Superstar" next to the ID.

That's awesome!

It's exactly what SI does, nothing new :(. You can't add new sounds, only replace existing ones for now. Only difference between 2k15 and 16 is, in 16 it is possible to replace jukebox / menu music which was not possible in 2K15!

OK, the Jukebox part is new to me... That was an issue in 2K15 but it is not in 16. It's already possible to replace jukebox themes.

Here is a first beta version of my new tool called "Sound Editor". It is an extended SI like tool with some more advanced features like preview and extract audio. You can open all sound pck files with that tool. It does work with the PC version of WWE 2K16 only! Beware this is a beta release and may contains bugs or other issues. So make backups and use it with caution!

New features:

- preview audio
- export audio
- inject mp3 and wav files directly (it still needs wwise because it converts to wem)

Some additional info:

- Double-click on the "Name" column to change the name of that column / sound (it will be saved in the data.xml file).

Would be great if you could get me some feedback!

Okay, thank you for your feedback! I will check that asap and let you now. It has something to do with the file size decimal points.

Here is a new link, please download and try it again!

Tested that and everything works fine now, thank you!

Hopefully tools like this work with 2k17, because with this it's much easier to go through all the sound files and replace everything.

Thanks for the Great Tool Ronny ! BTW I noticed that many Files of Old Wrestlers Are included eg. in the game_sound_m.pck file ID 101936538 is the quote "Let it go MVP". Really Cool. BTW is since there is a TargetOffeset is it possible to add quotes to other superstars ? For example replace the beforementioned quote and add a new one for example Terminator ?

Restoring individual themes isn't possible but you can try to use SE for that. Open the pck file from your backup, export the soundfile as wem and inject it into the same place in the new game pck file. There is a "Name" column in SE which tells you the name of the superstar who uses that theme.

All superstars except dlc characters are in the game_sound_m.pck file. dlcxx.pck is for dlc characters or superstars with new attires in a dlc.

  • 2 weeks later...

Is your wwise cli path correct?

Yeah, I have checked it multiple times.
Recently, it will change one file, I'll close it and when I come back later (nothing changed) and it just reverts back to what it did before.
Not really sure what's going on here man, but its super frustrating. xD

Looks like your file was write protected. Did you run the game at this time / when you tried to inject something?

Nah, I always have the game closed when I inject something, but thats not the problem, I can inject stuff all day long,... it just wont convert things to wem

What's your WWise-CLI path in the settings window? So you mean the program has lost your CLI-path?

It points to the Wise CLI in the BIN

>> audiokinetic >> wise >> authoring >> x64 >> bin

Small update for SI has been released. Version 2.1.4 fixes an issue when converting sounds to wem. The "Dynamic range filtering" was applied when "Normalize" setting has been selected.

Got an idea for a feature for Sound Editor on the next update - a search function :) Something in which we could look up an ID on one of the sound tables, then go into Sound Editor, open the file, copy-paste the ID into the search bar and the program would then search the list for what we entered? Would make things nice and quick if it were practical to implement :)

Finally got round to replacing Randy Orton's announcer sounds with Randy Savage's sounds as I've replaced him with Dennis-Bieser's Savage '99 attires, worked exactly as it should :D So much simpler too. Awesome tool mate.
