2K Support says to initialize PS4 to fix crashing

So after many rounds with 2K support about the game chasing when editing a supetstar, mostly ones with second attires, they said due to PS4 updating to 3.0 it creates issues. to fix it, initialize the PS4 to factory settings then re download everything. my question is, does this seem too extreme or has anyone had to do this? Or removed download just the game? How are the creators who are putting out CAWS with 2 attires not having this issue?

No way I'm going through all that just to stop an occasional crash. It's funny how they propose it has to do with update 3.0 when this is the only game I have a problem with after said update.. What a joke.
