Any ideas why my save keeps going corrupt

Hey guys, I've been dealing with this issue, and I posted about it previously, but for some reason when i inject CAWs into a save I am trying to build up, i wind up getting corruption to the save. I am using PUR3RAF3X's mod tool to inject into empty slots. I once got 3 injected with success, and another time or two, just 1, but lately it's none. I am injecting CAWs from other saves I dowmloaded the CAWs into, so the game, device, and profile ID's are the same in the CAW's as that of the new game save they are being injected into.

I am using Horizon to rename the CAW's to match their slot (I know that the the cas file is name is off by 1 from the slot number) as well as do a resign/rehash. I've even gone as far as using Horizon to rename the new CAS files PUR3RAF3X's mod tool creates, resign/rehash them, and then re-inject them into a backup of the save in the same slots so I have no reason to rename the files in Horizon before I move them to my USB--just rehash/resign them and the modded save, and move to the USB.

I've tried doing rehash/resign with Le Fluffie, CONCept, and Modio. Nothing seems to work. I've heard about how the WWE13 modder by BrienJ has a reliable resigner, but I don't have an account on the Xbox Hacking site. I'm hoping people might have stumbled on some other trick that's given them success with this. I just can't seem to find any rhyme or reason to this, especially considering I occassionaly have been able to inject the CAW's with success doing the same steps that seem to fail on other occasions.

I had the same issue. No matter what, just couldn't inject more than 3 cas / caws.

All you have to do is Resign with the BreinJ WWE mod tool. It has the best resigner. Most of the time it "fixes" your save if it has corrupted. I have injected 100 CAWs at once on several occasions. The part that sucks is you have to be a member on 360Haven to use it. It has a Login. But all you have to do is take a day or two and say "Thank You" in a few topics. Easy.

Any advice on getting it to work, mate?

I'm on Windows 7 and I've tried the usual of making sure I'm running in Administrator mode and even copied a KV.bin file into the same directory just to be sure but it always crashes before it's even started

Is it on your desktop?

No, it's with my various other modding tools in C:\Modding

Motishow, not sure i am following...

Did you inject a single caw into an existing save that had other CAW's in slots, then created a fresh save with nothing it, and injected two, and after that you were able to do more than two with no issue? Sorry, just willing to try anything new at this point. Not understanding why a new save would make a difference.

Hey DBO, thanks for the suggestion. I guess i might have to cave in and do just that. I know you've been telling me to use this tool before, and I've resisted. It's just a little bit of a PIA I have to join another forum I'll rarely visit to use a tool. I'm no modder like some of the other skilled members in this forum.

It sucks. That forum is pretty empty now. BUt like I said, Just head into the Content section or the Jtag Trainer section and say thank you a bit. "Like" some OP topics. Shouldnt take much to get into the requirements. I'm sorry that I dont know the exact numbers.

I think what he means is you need to create a new save, use PureRafex tool to inject a CAW into it, then use XPacker to extract the CAW data, then use XPacker again to inject that CAW data into your actual save.

It's a pain in the ass, takes a while, and requires you to know which CAW slots you have free in your main save before you start...but at least it works! That is how I'm doing it now that I can't get BrienJ's tool to work

Just curious El Guapo...what is happening with you when you try to use BrienJ's tool? The program stops when I run the exe file and I've been searching high and low on why. I think it might have something to do with .NET Framework, just not sure which one as I am up to date on all version, or at least think I am.

The program doesn't even start (as least not visibly) . I immediately get a 'Windows is trying to recover the program' window.

I did wonder if it was a .Net thing but I'm pretty sure I'm up to date.

If you figure it out, please share!

Thus far coming up empty. After getting the now all-too-familiar notification that the program has stopped running, I went into Event Viewer and saw the following

Fault bucket 232140221, type 22
Event Name: CLR20r3
Response: Not available
Cab Id: 0

Problem signature:
P1: wwe games caw editor.exe
P2: 2.3.1.0
P3: 31
P4: WWE Games CAW Editor
P5: 2.3.1.0
P6: 31
P7: 9f
P8: 1a7
P9: System.IO.FileLoadException
P10:

I think the key right now might be what you see for P9, but this also may have something to do with Fault Bucket and Event Name. So far it's been like reading Latin in trying to understand what all of this means.

Briens program wont work on any OS newer than Windows 7. He said that would always be the case and had no intention of trying to make it work or Windows 8 etc

Running Windows 7. Perhaps the latest .NET Framework updates is causing the issues. According to regedit, I am running .NET Framework 4.6.1. Also went to command prompt and ran a command that confirmed I have the following installed:

v1.0.3705
v1.1.4322
v2.0.50717

v3.0
v3.5
v4.0.30319

What's interesting is in my programs and features list from control panel, I only see 4.6.1 showing up.

Might be worth rolling back several .Net versions and see if it makes a difference

...glad it's not just me!
