Titavius Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I remember a while ago somebody tried to replace an Arena nameplate with one that they'd made, and for some reason it failed, displaying an invisible nameplate and no text. What I want to achieve is the fail side of it! I want to know what that person did wrong. How do I effectively remove the nameplate and the text during entrances?Any light shed would be great Quote
OverTheEdge Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I don't know what the glitch way is, but I've been doing this myself since either '13 or 2K14. What I've always done is create a two framed 320x320 bik file that's just plain black and inject it over any graphics you want to remove (i.e. namebars, city location, etc.) in the evtmov. When you do that, nothing ever even shows up when the graphics should display. The text that shows up over those graphics, however, will still be there. What you need to do for that is to go into the evtgdhd and find the directory for the arena you're looking for (usually sticks with the PAC numbers--so 0000 is SmackDown, 0001 is RAW, 0002 is NXT, etc.). In that directory will be several others that contain graphics including the corner copyright logo that you see at the end of the winning animation, along with the lettering and logos for the graphics. To get rid of those, all you need to do is open up the DDS and change the alpha layer to be completely black, so none of it shows up in-game. It's a pretty simple process. Hardest part, as I recall, was locating where everything was at. Quote
Titavius Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) Thanks man, i'll have a browse through, see what I can find I have a couple of Arenas here, and looking through past footage etc, I realized that they have really complex name/ location plates that just aren't do-able in game. The most accurate thing I could do, would be to remove them completely lol Edited January 8, 2016 by Titan83 Quote

Mathayus Posted January 10, 2016 Posted January 10, 2016 I had that trouble in the past. Fixing that was a pain. You need to create the alpha layer. I did that frame by frame. More that 100 Pictures and then, joining it into a bik video file. Quote
Dbo2700 Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 Off topic. Sorry. I have a sub question:Can those CAA nameplates be switched out? I never tried. I havent seen a tutorial for it either. Quote

Mathayus Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 I repaced one of those nameplates for a WCW Thunder one time. Quote
