World Wrestling Gamers (WWG) League Updates (PS4)

What's up guys, this is the exact kind of community I've been keeping my eye out for. Not sure what took me so long to find it. I have taken a few days to look around and I am not 100% sure what I am doing is the correct spot for this, so if it's not, feel free to move me or show me where to put something like this at.

We have a league called the World Wrestling Gamers (WWG) on PS4. We have totally changed our original concept of how we would operate as a league and are trying something new and different than what I've found in other great places out there. 

 

Here's a little bit about us:

We will no longer be running a universe and putting out cards. 

 

The World Wrestling Gamers is a league of CAW and real-life wrestlers, all going after one, or all, of the 4 WWG Belts. 

Our 2 Major Title belts are the WWG Elite Championship and WWG Tag Team Championships.
Our 2 Minor Title belts are the WWG Ignite Championship and the WWG Hardcore Championship.

The WWG is ran by a commish who is the voice of a force called ‘The Elites’. The Elites are an anonymous group of wrestlers who are in charge of tracking rank and points systems, and also preparing the PPV cards, which take place on the 15th and 30th of each month.

In the WWG we wrestle on a Tuesday - Sunday rotation, with a show video being produced every Monday as a recap of what took place that week. Monday is also a day to update rankings, points and anything else that is needed, plus a rest day for all wrestlers. Our GroupMe chat is used as the promo and call out area, and our forums and website are a place to track what is current and find information on other wrestlers.  

All wrestlers must be active on GroupMe as well as PSN in order to play here. We encourage the use of CAW and every wrestler who uses a CAW will receive a 5 point bonus when joining. You are allowed to use real life wrestlers, but they must still fall into our Player Set UP Rules.  

We try to make our video shows (produced every 7 days) really MATTER. So help us by keeping your matches as secret as possible. It helps give people a reason to watch the show.

The WWG works off of a point system, where wrestlers may wrestle in three types of matches, which earn points (1 to 3 points per match). Those points can then be used to rank up and wrestle for titles, and cost 5-10 points to participate in.(details and descriptions below)

IN ORDER FOR ANY MATCH TO COUNT IN THE WWG: Matches MUST be archived on ONE, OR BOTH wrestlers TWITCH account. A match does not count at all if there is no archived video of a match taking place. After the match is complete, the WINNER must send the commish (Nate) a link to the video and who played and who won, on GroupMe. If this is NOT done, then the match does not count and will not be tracked.

The only rules to have a match, are that you may not have ANY MATCH against the same person more than 2 times in 5 days, and the matches may be any matches that both wrestlers agree upon before hand, unless otherwise told by the Elites. A wrestler has 48 hours to respond to a call out, or the challenger will pay the points and receive the automatic win, EXCEPT in title matches. If a title holder does not respond in 48 hours, the Elites will decide what action takes place.

Match Type 1 – Rivalry Match
To wrestle in a match you may call out any wrestler on the roster, in a straight up rivalry match. These matches DO NOT cost any points to fight and may be done as many times as they find a match. 

These matches ONLY earn points and DO NOT move you up or down in rankings and do not count for a belt. After a rivalry match is accepted, the match may be played with any match style that both wrestlers agree upon. 

Each wrestler receives 1 point for every match played.

The winner of the match receives a bonus of 2 more points (total of 3 points).

EXAMPLE: - Cactus Gauge calls out Double A in a rivalry match, normal pin fall, and Double A accepts. Double A pins Cactus Gauge for the win. Double A then reports the archived stream link to the commish, along with details of who fought and how the match was won (Double A beats Cactus Gauge with a pin - link to the stream is http://www.twitch.tv/omflnate). The commish then awards Cactus with 1 point and Double A with 3 points for the win. The WWG video show will then include that fight as part of the line up from the past week.

Match Type 2 – Contenders Match
A wrestler may also fight a contender’s match, based on the rankings for each belt. A wrestler may go for any belt they choose, and if they are un-ranked, they must beat the 10th ranked player to get on the list. A contenders match can ONLY be for 1 spot above the challenger. NO ONE ELSE (above the 1 spots) can be called out for a contenders match - UNLESS one of two conditions are: 1) guy directly above challenger doesn't respond in allotted time, 2) guy directly above challenger turns down challenge. WHEN one of those two conditions are hit, the challenger may skip the spot above them and challenge for the next spot above that. 

A contender’s match cost the challenger 2 points for a match to try and move up a spot. If the challenger doesn’t win, the rankings stay in the same as prior to the contender match. The defender, in the contender match, does not have to pay, only the challenger. 

The same result rules must be followed or a match will NOT count. Points will be subtracted by the commish and rankings adjusted AFTER the match has been reported.

EXAMPLE: Cactus Gauge calls out Khan in a contender match, normal pin fall. Khan is ranked #3 and Cactus is ranked #4. Khan accepts the match. Cactus pins Khan for the win. Cactus then reports the archived stream link to the commish, along with details of who fought and how the match was won (Cactus beats Khan with a pin - link to the stream is http://www.twitch.tv/omflnate). The commish then subtracts 2 points from Cactus for the contender match challenge and moves Khan and Cactus to their new rankings for the belt they were going for. The WWG video show will then include that fight as part of the line up from the past week.

Match Type 3 – Title Match
Finally a wrestler may fight in a title match. In order to fight in a title match, the challenger must be ranked 5th or higher and the match will cost 10 points for the Elite and Ignite belt, and 5 points for the Hardcore and Tag team belts. 

The Title belt holder ONLY has to defend his MAJOR belt every 14 days and his MINOR belt every 7 days and then both at EVERY PPV. 

The same results rules must be followed or a match will NOT count. Points will be subtracted by the commish and rankings adjusted AFTER the match has been reported. 

Title Holder Rules:
A MINOR title holder MUST defend their belt every 7 days - at least once, and at every PPV.
A MAJOR title holder MUST defend their belt every 14 days - at least once, and at every PPV 


PPV Rules:
Around the 15th and 30th of each month, the WWG will conduct a PPV (in order of the real life WWE PPV). These PPV will have a 3 day advance and the Elite will publish the card using the call outs which are being done at the moment, except the Elites will pick the type of matches that will take place. 

Tournaments, Money in the Bank matches, Triple Threats, Cage matches, hell in a cell, royal rumbles all may be used at ANY time by the Elite in any week or any PPV as they see fit.

Story Line: The two need kids on the block, Jack Scorpion and Khan, have chosen to go after the Tag Team belts, by forming a team and joining the competition. Both are future stars in the making in the WWG, but the Blood Brothers could care less if you are new, old, young, fat, skin, tall or short. If you step in the ring with them, they'll hammer you. So the challenge was issued to the newly formed tag team to come after the tag team belts in the latest PPV, a challenge which they accepted.

Story Line: The Rock and The Animal's feud finally comes to a head at PayBack. The Rock has successfully defended his belt 3 times, and this will be the very last shot that The Animal is going to get for a good while. Cena is also looking to bounce back after the last triple threat match, where the rock defended his title. The Animal has a new look, a new gimmick and a new passion to be the WWG Hardcore title, but this may be his last show with the new WWG system and new contenders working their way up the ladder.

Match 10 - WWG Elite Championship Tournament Match - Hell In A Cell Match (HUM vs CPU)

Story Line: This past week, Aiden Steel successfully defended his title against Adam Cole. Those two have had a great rivalry going, but in the process of cashing in his points for a title run, Adam Cole has ran out of points and got in no other rivalry matches to earn points. PayBack was supposed to be his chance of PayBack against Steel. The Elites have decided that Cactus was next in line, but Cactus felt as though his tag team partner deserved to hold on to the belt a little longer, while Cactus goes after the Impact belt. That means next up is Brock Lesnar. Brock Lesnar is the perfect competition in a Hell in a Cell match vs Steel, so Brock gets his pay back at PayBack to try and earn his title back.  

ALL title matches cost 10 points for major (Elite and Tag) and 5 points for minor (Impact and Hardcore). We will allow tag teams to split and decide who pays what points for the challengers in those matches. Defenders NEVER pay any points. Impact (for this tournament) will not cost any points since the title is empty.

Whats up Universe. The WWG has held its 2nd PPV of our league and this one was epic. Episode 8 is called - Payback - Impact Champion Crowned. All titles were up for grabs and a single elimination tournament for the minor Impact Championship Title. 

 

 

We are now in our regular week and will be introducing 3 more new human wrestlers. We are still looking for more as we grow, so if you want to be apart of something cool, come give me a yell.

WWG PPV - Redemption Ep. 17  - The WWG Will Never Be The Same 

The WWG rolls into its 3rd PPV, Redemption. If revenge is a dish best served cold, then Redemption is going to be cold as ice as all 4 belts in the WWG will be issued to new champions or defended. Khan is allowed back, but only at the price of a terrible beating from Scorpion. The WWG Tag Team Title tournament will come to a close and so does one of the WWGs best rivalries. A 6 man chamber match for the WWG Impact belt will leave bodies all over the floor, and Adam Cole gets his very last shot at holding the WWG Elite gold with a stunning ending. The WWG will never be the same after tonight.

WWG PPV Wrestling Wars 1, Ep 23. Turning Point - Pt. 1

Welcome to the WWG's Biggest and Best PPV - Wrestling Wars 1. 

Tonight is not only the longest show with the best talent, and the best matches, but also the most surprising  storylines yet to be showing to our Universe. Tonights show is titles - "Turning Point", because after tonight, nothing will ever be the same in the WWG. Not for it's fans or it's wrestlers.

Tonights card introduces us to a several new wrestlers and fractions. Every WWG Title will be up for grabs, plus the Elites have ordered a Gold Rush Tournament to find a #1 contender at WW1. Throw in a steel cage match and the match of the year - and you've got WW1.

We wanted to say thank you to everyone who followed our league. It's been a blast getting this together and we really had taken the next step to 2 shows and 20 wrestlers. Unfortunately we had some infighting with the leadership and have decided to close the show. I couldn't carry everything alone, so though it pains me to close the shows, it was a blast and I enjoyed it a ton, but such is life.
