GameElite™ Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 Mr Perfect looks awesome, cannot wait to play as him! Quote
Sunny Posted December 18, 2015 Posted December 18, 2015 I kind of got an awkward vibe from the people in the room as if there wasn't much camaraderie there, which you'd have from people who don't mesh well together. Now, I understand you are in a work-related environment, but you want to do your best to not present yourself as "workers" to your guest. The format wasn't planned, and though microphone bugs are normal, there wasn't a sense of topics leading into bigger topics or just the sheer nature of engagement. It was essentially a barrage (no pun intended) of questions directed at Barrett and the viewer felt as if you were playing a game of "21 Questions".There was no input from the person asking the questions after Barrett relayed his thoughts and he might as well have been talking to a computer. But, alas, these are the intricacies involved on camera between companies. It shouldn't be conveyed as awkward though. It felt Barrett wanted to be there more than the people presenting it. Ledesma might have gotten a shit ton of flack, and I'm not vouching for him, but he was a marksman at showmanship and enthusiasm during his exhibitions, whereas I didn't get that here. Maybe, they need more time getting adjusted? But, these are basic human interactions we're talking about. The Legends DLC showcased was certainly better than the Legends lineup they had last year, but nothing to speak volumes on. That more so has to do with them not finding the right guys to mo-cap the entrances authentically. Lita's entrance mocap felt as if she was having a weird aneurism, the length was too short and as a result wasn't reminiscent of her. It's that these entrances feel too generic and if that's the "feel" they're going for, then why mocap at all?Motion capturing takes time and precision to execute and is a modern day art to some extent. With that in mind, if there is no direction or connection to the real thing, why bother with it? It'd save them a considerable amount on their budget to which they can allocate towards other integrated areas. Now, sure if they were to remove motion capturing altogether, it'd question the games credibility of being considered a "modern" title. I say, keep it for collecting moves, but ditch it during the entrance and showcase cutscenes. You will be producing similar type of results through computer generated animation, and I'd say some of which will look much better than what they have now. wCw/nWo Revenge, No Mercy, Day of Reckoning, Shut Your Mouth, and Here Comes the Pain definitely come to mind. The cutscenes sure as hell don't add to the presentation element, but detract from it. In fact, the only entrance which I was blown away by is Finn Balor's, and that is obvious. But, that is one of how many? "Over 120 unique models?" If there is a miscast in almost every other entrance, then is it even a logical point to use it during those sequences? I know ditching them isn't even a topic of discussion, but this is a solution if they can't nail it. Just throwing it out there.I know this isn't for everyone. Those are the same people who don't notice any frame rate drops in Just Cause 3 or lag in multiplayer games. I know some people who look at the entrances only once and skip them there on out. Feel free to skip through this as it might be too infinitesimal in nature. But, for those who actually do notice these nuances, they'd agree that the points have credence to them. The positives to gather are:• the inclusion of Perfect's towel• the length of Piper's hair (and his kilt in the entrance). That was surprisingly left out in some iterations due to bullshit reasoning.•Trish Stratus's model. In fact, it was the best model showcased of the lot. DLC models from recent years have gotten a bit of negative reactions recently and for good reason (e.g. Paige, Luger), but Trish's model is the outlier. Overall, a surprising addition seeing as we didn't even know if were getting anything at all a few days ago. It would have been quite monumental to have Barrett on a stream during the time he was hot and when he was DLC for SvR 2011. That still stands as the best DLC package besides the nWo DLC in WWE 2K14, but for different reasons altogether. Quote
Pare71 Posted December 20, 2015 Posted December 20, 2015 Bossman with Twin Towers theme , really ? I think its because of copyright (hard times theme) . Quote
The Nomodder Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I was so looking forward to his hard times theme. Quote
BigDaddyM Posted December 22, 2015 Posted December 22, 2015 I was so looking forward to his hard times theme. Yeah, me too. Seems Bossman is the only one without his own theme. I'm of course now hoping someone makes the Mountie for XbOne. Quote
