Liu DelGôdõ™ Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 I've posted this before so all apologies for repeating it but it's just so much worst. Damn near every good creation I try to download quits before its done downloading. I've tried to download off the preview screen. I've tried pushing buttons while it downloads and it keeps doing the same thing. It's very frustrating and I'm asking anyone out there if you're having the same problem, is there any way to fix it?! I'm so sick of these unnecessary glitches and something needs to be done ASAP! Quote
DANIELakaDEE Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Wish I could help bro, maybe it's your Internet or something, it only takes me like a min or two to download content? Quote
mrblacksheep Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) On xb1 (I forget who mentioned this) but if you hit the xbox button to go to the dashboard, everything downloads twice as fast. Edited December 15, 2015 by mrblacksheep 1 Quote
mrelectriccity Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 (edited) the reason why it takes so long on certain CAW is because they have a lot of logos and accessories on the caw. which mine usually does since i do a full body which usually takes around 10-12 diff logos and few of them are used multiple times to cover an area. but yeah like i mentioned before if it takes a while just go to ur xb1 home screen and it'll finish n less than a min Edited December 15, 2015 by mrelectriccity Quote

Liu DelGôdõ™ Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 The problem I'm having is that some creations won't download at all. The bar just gets half full then abruptly stops. No matter what screen I'm on. I've tried all of these suggestions and nothing works. And it's only with certain caws this happens Let the bar fill halfway, then go to dashboard.tried that several times and it didn't work bro Quote
DANIELakaDEE Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 It's letting you get halfway then stops, that means it's still downloading for you, but you're probably getting frustrated & just stopping...don't leave the screen where you're downloading from, go to your dashboard, if it stops again, just continue doing the same thing, hit download again, then go to dashboard, it will eventually download the whole caw Quote
Liu DelGôdõ™ Posted December 15, 2015 Author Posted December 15, 2015 I've tried that too.... And it still stops. I sit and let it do its thing, even on dashboard and no dice Quote

Tried everything listed here but no luck. With my internet it usually just takes about a minute or less to dl the ones that I've got so far, but I've let it sit for 15 minutes after clicking to dl and get nothing. There are about 6-7 that I really want to dl, but can't right now...a couple of them I've tried to dl 50+ times. Quote
Bale Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Maybe there is something wrong with your game savedid you try to DL with another profile ? Quote
Smacktalks Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 It takes ages for me downloading creations too but I find the earlier I do it the quicker it is as there's less people online. The only major issue I have is that some creations appear to download and finish but then when I try to use them they haven't saved. Then if I try to download the same caw it tries to download it again but the slot is still empty. 1 Quote
Sunny Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Try to find a time slot the least people will be online on. So, right about the time people in California/West Coast are getting are getting ready to go to bed. I'd say start your downloads at 4 AM ET as that used to be an effective time slot for me. Also, are you connected directly by LAN? Try a direct connection as that would significantly affect your progress. You can also try clearing the cache on your console if all else fails. Here's how to actually do it: Unlike Xbox 360, the Xbox One does not have a menu option to clear cache on the console. Instead, follow these steps to clear cache on an Xbox One:1. Press and hold the power button on the front of the console until it powers down completely.2.Unplug the power cable from the back of the console so that the power brick in not connected to the console.3. Press the power button on the console three or four times. This will ensure that any remaining power in the battery is drained, clearing the cache on the console.4. Plug the power cable back into the console.5. Wait for the light on the power brick to change from white to orange.6. Turn on the console using the power button. Quote

fufu ÷ Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 Could try moving your console closer to the router, or plugging it in directly. Things like pipes in walls or boilers or cooking appliances play havoc with signal strength, so you might just be in a spot where the signal isn't strong enough to get the job done before the timeout. Other than that pester 2K. Quote
Sunny Posted December 16, 2015 Posted December 16, 2015 That has to be it then. They've been having more troubles with their servers than usual for the past few days. I remember the "Online" option was just faded for me on PS4 on "Free Multiplayer Weekend" so that definitely is a costly move for them because it was an open invitation for people without a subscription to play with their friends. I expect these troubles to continue leading into the holidays as that's when the annual server outages are bound to happen on all fronts, PSN/XBL alike. Quote

King Paulie Posted December 17, 2015 Posted December 17, 2015 This issue has nothing to do with the internet and routers and shit like that. 2k's servers are just fucked up. This same thing has happened to me numerous times recently, and all I could do was keep trying to download the same CAW and it ultimately works. But more often than not this is what happens. It has nothing to do with downloads being slow either, for example with this issue, the download bar would get half way, and then literally stop and disappear as if it downloaded. Went to see if it actually downloaded, and it didn't, because I notice my number of downloads was still 20/20 that specific day as if I didn't download anything. This happened over and over again until it ultimately downloaded for me. Quote
