Rivalries in Universe

Will rivalry cutscenes ONLY happen in those matches that the game has automatically created, or can I create a rivalry (Rollins v Roman), set up my own match between Roman and Sheamus, and then have Rollins run in and attack Roman or something?

Because I want to set up my own matches for universe, but I still want cutscenes, its kinda stupid if it doesn't work like that.

they happen in created rivalries i've gotten plenty of scenes but normally the first week is no cutscenes for the most part

Yeah but do cutscenes happen in created matches specifically? It usually says "rivalry match" or something, and something might happen there, but if I edit it and customize it but keep atleast one from the rivalry, will there be a cutscene?

no because if you do that it's no longer a rivalry match. this is why i kept proposing that the rivalry crap needs to go. it is ruining the availability of cutscenes. they are only locked to those rivalry matches. that's why most say that WWE12's universe worked the best cause it worked based on rivals and allies set up

yeah i kept mentioning that the rivalry manager really needed to go when i was on the 2k forums. no one listened to me. cause while that system is in place, you're not going to get any cutscenes outside of the 3 predetermined Rivalry matches. atleast in 2k14 and even last year in 2k15 we still got cutscenes when you didn't use the rivalry system and on minor shows but this year i've not seen a single cutscene outside or rivalry matches at all.

Yeah I played SvR 11, where they first introduced universe mode a couple weeks ago, and I think there was a cutscene in pretty much every match even without the rivalry system, and it was a lot cooler as well Vince McMahon would come out after your match and with voice audio tell you that your match isn't done and then you would have to fight someone else and stuff, it was really great

yeah unfortunately that ended after you unlocked everyone but it was cool. Yeah i loved svr11 i played it till my disc got a scratch and had to get another (days before digital lol) and wwe12 was great too. 13 was the beginning of the downfall. I still play 2k16 but i haven't really played it much. I have a B/C PS3 and i decided to take advantage and finally get some ps2 and ps1 games the old Smackdown games as well as a few others. but yeah SVR11 and 12 were great 13 - 16 have not been great in terms of universe and cutscene availability.
