Auday Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Brands don't matter with TVs either - unless you're going for the very top TV on the market. The only difference between them is the logo and the software. All made from the same parts, usually Samsung, and all assembled in the same factories and have to pass certain regulations to be sold here anyway. So unless you're importing from China chances are your cheap £200 TV from Tesco will match your £500 TV with Samsung or LG written on it.Exactly why I said he got ripped off, fuck fancy brands he bought the TV for $302, he could have bought a 4k one on black friday. Dude I said before my dad got a 55" 4K TV from walmart for $500 outside black friday. £200 are equivilant to $302 you telling me the price of the TV wouldn't drop in black friday under $500? Especially that the one my dad got is 55" and the one Mizalike got is 49". If it was black friday I could've found you one.Oh I also forgot to say it's a smart 4k 55" TV, pretty sure you could find a normal 4k 49" for $300 on black friday. It wouldn't be a samsung but who cares? Edited December 2, 2015 by Auday Elyafe Quote

jitz Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 It's like he never read my post...and then when he's told to read my post, he still doesnt read my post.Comparing prices across countries never works, ever. Beyond currency conversion there's a bunch of different factors that determine price. You could even say that Black Friday deals in America are bound to be far more competitive as the idea of Black Friday is culturally ingrained in the population, whereas in the UK it's being used by retailers to simply boost retail sales pre-Christmas. Sunny Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 This was the cheapest credible 4K TV on the market during Thursday evening and even then, it is a cheap 4K TV that has no comparison to the high end models which have Triluminous displays, aspect ratio correction, and upscaling capabilities.I should know. I knew the scoop two weeks going into Black Friday and debated what was worth it. Your father got a bottom of the barrel ElementTV, Hisense, or Emerson, the TVs Wal-Mart puts out to make room for new inventory. You had nothing special to glance at Wal-Mart because their 4K deals weren't stellar.LG is not recognized for their TVs. I saw piss yellow coloring, contrary to what they advertised in stores and it had no comparison to Vizio, who are notorious for using cheap material inside their televisions. The settings didn't make any differences after I toggled through color temperatures and tried all the picture modes. They're not the standard televisions are made at today. In fact, over time you'd get color fading on an LG TV. Besides, if you are taking the initiative to purchase a 4K television, why opt for the 55" (unless you're going to be sitting ten feet in distance which will prove to be detrimental to your eyesight anyways)? You're losing money if you do and might as well purchase a 1080p. 4K TVs start 65" and up. Then, you have this sneaky bastard which hordes in all the dumbfucks. The interiors of this television is from Hisense and they get a cut as well as Samsung who sell it under their name. Realistically, these TVs are prone to failure under three years and it'd take more for you to fix it then buying a new one, fulfilling Samsung's partnership in the process. As far as I know, a $500 4K TV is unheard of even on Black Friday and by some miracle, if there was one, it'd be masked as an upscaled 1080i to deceive ignorant shoppers looking for a bargain. Mizalike Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 To get a 49inch tv for £200 in London England is great it's hard to come by a good bargain so thanks Black Friday. Quote
jitz Posted December 3, 2015 Posted December 3, 2015 200 pounds is 410 Australian dollars. I don't think I could get a decent 1080p for twice that amount, let alone get a 4K one. Remember though, 200 pounds is being ripped off, so do I need for find one for half that? Auday needs to learn about the world, maybe start just by doing a quick search on video game retail prices and see if they're equal? (Hint: they're not) Quote
