Animation problem (bones I guess)

I'm working on Batista (based on GameElite's) right now and I just made his upper body physique more bulky.

So I also moved hands further from body and now there is a little glitch on his hands.

(Kinda look like his fingers are trying to get back to the place where they were before.)

I assume it's because of the bones and I'm willing to fix it. However I really don't know what to do with them.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Could you tell me how to edit the bones' position like you have done for my Jeff's eyes @tekken57?

Import the model into 3dsmax using my scripts http://smacktalks.org/forums/topic/57378-tekken57s-maxscripts/

Move the bone to where you want it placed. Export the file as collada. Import the collada file into the model in X-Rey.

Be warned though, that sometimes the rigging will still move the bone back to its original place, so it's not always a good idea to move objects too far from their bones.

Post your results either way.

Thanks for the help!!

I did change the position of the bones but I really don't know how to export it with your script.

Could you be more specific from where I export the bone files as collada?

I selected the parts that I moved and ran the export_bone_weights_to_file script. However I keep getting this error:

I know it is a noob question but I just don't know because I only used Blender :(

Select the a bone which you have modified (one bone at a time), then select export from the 3dsmax menu. Export the file to collada from the list of formats. Import the collada file into the relevant bone in X-Rey.

No problem, glad I could assist. Document what you did to fix the issue and post it, it may help others.

I will definitely do it when the time allows :)

Does this fix applies to eye movement too?

It should, in theory. I will try fixing my Jeff and see what happens.
