applying art tats properly?

was wondering has any one figured out how to properly place the arm tats. every time i try to do a normal size tat, they have to be really really small and barely noticeable if u try to make it any bigger it blurs and distorts. i managed to get a full bio-mechanical sleeve tat to look descent as u can see on K.O. in the pics below.
