Cerb Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 In principle it's a nice idea, in execution it's terrible. If it was a bit more responsive, or even worked like the "working hold / chain wrestling" it would be great. Button mashing has no place in modern gaming. It's execution is perfect, you just have to get used to it. I played around with it a bit and its the best submission system in any wrestling game I have played, It's so fluent, smooth, does what its supposed to do, adds nice features like the yellow dot, it's just perfect, wish I could marry it. 1 Quote
HarlotEffect Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 It's a hit and miss system. It's why THQ got rid of it after SvR 08. It's really odd because you can practically tap out at anytime. I always feel to make someone tap out you're not given enough time, even if you have good submission skill. That could just be me though. Quote

The submission can also technically last forever because it doesn't break until you either make them tap or you get out of it, I had a submission lasting almost a full minute very early on in a match. fufu ÷ Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 It's not kind to a casual gamer, which in my eyes isn't so great. At least with button mashing it was no particular advantage to anyone. Quote
Sunny Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 Controllers are being put through the back-burner just by sitting these days.(Credit to Chino1130)I'd hate to imagine the damaging effects a reintegration of the button mash system would cause on today's fragile motion sensitive Dualshocks.
