MJ_VII Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 pleeaaassseee tell me what the trick is with that submission wheel?!! literally no matter what if i get in any submission thats the match over, do i rotate the stick or flick it in a direction because it feels like i literally have no control over it and it just flies around on its own or just doesnt move, am i missing something like?!! Aero Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 turn your controller upside down, works a treat 1 Quote
fufu ÷ Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I can escape them but for the life of me I can't make anyone submit using it. Best way i've found to defend is to just barely move it all and let the AI fly past you. Only move it when they get to you and use the boost. I know what you mean about it being unresponsive though. schlimo Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 (edited) in the first few matches I hated it as much I could hate something in this game. It sounds stupid but you need a lot of practice. I wanted the trophy where you make some one submit with a no finishing move or signature. set the ability of your character high and your opponent down, maybe it will be easier for practice. MJ_VII Posted November 12, 2015 Author Posted November 12, 2015 i legit hate it like, just cannot get a grip of it at all and its worse in showcase mode when you go through all the requirements only to lose at the end because of it! Quote
D-Driller Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Lol escaping for me is a piece of piss, its tapping the fuckers out that i struggle with! I was asuka the other day vs paige and i must of attempted it 5 times... Long story short, it consumed me and paige won. Fuckin bitch 😑 Quote
OLD ACCOUNT Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I just tilt the stick down and turn it left/right. Looks like a charm. Quote

Just put it back to button mashing. What is wrong with 2k? Do people not test the game first? This whole mini game SH*T is nonsense. Pure nonsense. Button mashing worked fine for YEARS. Go back to it or add the option to change all minigames to button mashing. Case closed, problem solved. 1 Quote
Cerb Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Just a quick update: after playing about 5 matches now with a CAW with maxed out overall in submission matches, I finally won one. Quote

Case closed, problem solved.button mashing is not that great cause the current gen consoles are not as sturdy as they were back in the day. even the 360 and ps3 controllers buttons used to get jammed from button mashing. that's why they are trying to move away from that. if you notice, there's hardly any (if any) button mashing mini games on ps4/x1 games Quote
MarcusCouch10 Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 The Submission system is very very easy and I think it's amazing 1 Quote
Jet Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 I had issues with the new submission system when I first played, but after a bit of frustration (especially against Bret Hart), I've got it down. I've found just using the left and right directions on the analogue stick works for me, whilst pre-empting the CPU's movements. Doing this, I think I made about three CPU's submit last night in the space of an hour. I've had absolutely no issues with the pin system. Quote
Cerb Posted November 12, 2015 Posted November 12, 2015 Yeah I just picked up 7 submits on the guy I set to a maxed out overall, its really easy once you learn it, just stay at the bottom with the red meter, swing it to the right until you hit the blue part, the opponent, then swing to the left, and then right again, going back and forth and filling up the circle a little bit each time you hit him on each side. If your red bar is really huge though I would just boost the speed and just destroy him quickly. I was using Jericho by the way, with default overall to make the maxed out CAW tap. Quote

The Nomodder Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Guys, there is absolutely no trick needed. The submission system is good, but you NEED to watch your stamina bar!!! The submission moves need a portion of your stamina bar to begin with AND they need stamina for the process of making someone submit. The wheel is unresponsive only when your stamina bar is empty!! Quote

The wheel is unresponsive only when your stamina bar is empty!! and that's the problem. as soon as you use a sub finisher, half of your stamina is gone Quote
The Nomodder Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Well, that means you have to wait until you have a full stamina bar before using a sub finisher. Quote
the King Lives Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Well, that means you have to wait until you have a full stamina bar before using a sub finisher. Yeah but that's not really the point. by the time you hit a sig to get a finisher i don't want to stand around waiting on my stamina to recharge. let's face it by the time you get to finisher state, you are already on the last purple stam bar. i'm not saying it's glitched. but what i've experienced is i have plenty of stamina and the bar doesn't go where it's supposed to. I'm still testing it though. it's not broken just extremely difficult Quote
The Nomodder Posted November 13, 2015 Posted November 13, 2015 Well, I don't really have that problem. At the moment Brock Lesnar is winning every match in my universe after a few minutes with his Kimura Lock. Works like a charm. Quote
MJ_VII Posted November 13, 2015 Author Posted November 13, 2015 its not even making anyone submit its literally EVERY SINGLE FUCKING TIME anyone puts a submission on me at any point in the match i havent a chance it just doesnt fucking do anything!!!!!! furious is an understatement!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 Quote
Sunny Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 At least it's better than a broken controller from yet again another button mash contest. I always thought that was a silly and archaic design. Quote
BigDaddyM Posted November 15, 2015 Posted November 15, 2015 In principle it's a nice idea, in execution it's terrible. If it was a bit more responsive, or even worked like the "working hold / chain wrestling" it would be great. Button mashing has no place in modern gaming. Quote
