Crazy render times for Sony Vegas

Ironic?! You made this topic because it took 5 hours. Why are you saying it didn't? Why are you lying?

I don't know if this is the right section or not, I didn't see one specifically for video editing, but basically I'm trying to render a 20 minute long video, and it says it will take 5 hours. It's been going for 23 minutes and its on 7% as of right now.

The source video is 1080p 59fps, .mp4 file

Render settings are for 1080p 59fps, as a .mp4 file

Anyone know anything about Sony Vegas rendering? Do I need to give more information on my render settings?

Why does it take f'n 5 hours to render a 20 minute clip which is not heavily edited at all other than having a commentary clip on it?

I figured it was because I had an additive blend layer over the entire thing which I only really used for 3 seconds for my intro at the start of the video, is there any way to use the add effect without using it on an entire layer?

It took 1 hour to render 20 minutes, far from a full day.

So... which one is it?

On top quality for 20 minutes, it will. When I removed the layer it took about an hour, which is a lot more realistic

Holy fuck you're an idiot.

What the fuck are you even talking about at this point? I made this post because the render time was 5 hours, I fixed it, now it's 1 hour.

5 minutes, but scratch that, I just did it in 2,5.

Getting better and better.
