Latest News on a PC Version of WWE 2K16

– The German Amazon website has a PC listing for the WWE 2K16 video game at this link. The game is also listed for Steam on gaming website MMOGA with a release date of November 30th. Another German gaming website, GameLaden.com, has the PC version listed with a release date of December 31st.

Both of those sites have the price at around €32 while Amazon has the price at €49.95. Amazon also says that the game will be available for the Windows Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8 operating systems. Another rumored release date for the PC version is January 31st, 2016. It appears the PC version could be happening but it should be taken as a rumor until 2K makes the official announcement.

i don't normally tend to agree with you but on this i do lol. 

Why would you buy it just to "preview it" then buy it again. that's easily 130$ with taxes and all. Well i at this point don't have a powerful enough computer to run 2k15 let alone 2k16 so i guess i'll just stick with my ps4 version but i'm glad it's coming out for those that have been patiently waiting for it to come out on pc. Imagine the Hogan mods! lol

that was one reason i didn't get an xbox one. because they were saying that most 3rd party games were being developed on ps4 and ported over to x1. pretty much the opposite of last gen. Last gen the games were developed on 360 and ported over to ps3 which is why all the wwe games on ps3 were worse for wear vs xbox 360 only having minor issues compared to the latter.  and seeing that ps4 didn't have hardly as many issues as x1 did last year for 2k15 i am still inclined to believe this is true.

I see them releasing the game before april this time, but they would make it 60$ without the dlc's. This year they will patch the community creations for torrented versions just like they did couple of months ago for 2k15 so all people who want community creations will need to buy the game. But they wanted the 60$ console version profit first. Anyway that's how I see things shaping up, could be wrong.

I always felt like the reason they didn't rush to release a PC version last year was to get all the console sales in first and DLC sold. On PC, it is nearly impossible to market DLC on a game like WWE as people hack and mod the game and they know this.  Any DLC they'd try to sell on PC would just end up modded by others.  So I can see why they will most likely wait until after all the DLC is released this year. With there being less over all than last year, I expect it all to be out by end of January.  Then a PC version shortly after.

Well what i can say is that there is a ISAN wich is a reserved Bar code number in europe. That means 2K reserved the code for WWE2K16 wich confirmes the game is in the making. The ISAN is B013RBX7Y4

Yes, but I think you are trying to equate Windows OS iterations to console cycles and that really doesn't fit. You will still be able to play every newer game on Windows 7, Windows 7 just won't have directx 12 support, you will have to play directx 11 versions of those games on Win7, which means they will (in theory) run worse on 7 and better on 10 but you won't be forced to upgrade to 10 in order to still play newer games, you still have some people forcing dx9 to run games on older systems, plus Linux users, Mac users and some AMD users who run Mantle instead of dx. The PC side of things is a lot more flexible. About the only games that will be Windows 10 / dx12 exclusive will be the ones published by Microsoft and sold via their xbox live app which will be a non-factor because if it isn't on Steam most people won't buy it.

It sucks when they overlook the pc gamers & concentrate on consoles versions..I only bought 2k15 because it was the first wwe game released on pc after a decade..but now if they keep up the trend & keep releasing the game in April I won't have any shame in downloading it from torrent

If there were more PC gamers, and if there were less PC gamers with you attitude you'd find you'd get a lot more releases. As it is though, most games don't sell well on PC, and when they do its for half price in Steam sales. So yeah, PC will continue to get few development resources as long as that community has the attitude "I'll just pirate it because I had to wait a few months, that'll teach em".

That was true, last console generation, but not anymore. PC has caught up in sales and will eclipse console revenue in 2016. For every person who says that they pirate games, you have a person like me who owns well over 1,000. You shouldn't generalize all PC gamers based on a few disgruntled posters on forums. 90% of the people on my friends list own 200+ games. How do you know that they aren't the norm and the pirates are the outliers? How many console gamers can say they own that many games for a single platform, compared to how many only buy Madden, Fifa and 2K? Plus I think you've kind of forgotten MOBA's and MMO's. WOW has earned almost 9 Billion Dollars, you have people who have sunk hundreds of thousands of dollars into Star Citizen and the game isn't even finished, not to mention the insane money people spend on hero skins in DOTA and card packs in Hearthstone.  

Looking at the figures from PwC, worldwide PC games sales are supposed to add up to $29 billion, while console games sales should reach $28 billion by the end of 2016. In terms of DLCs, PC users expected to vastly outspend console gamers at $21.8 billion compared to $2.4 billion. The market researchers say the spending differences will widen in favour of the PC over the next few years thanks in part to the PC-dominated gaming scenes in India and China. It sucks when they overlook the pc gamers & concentrate on consoles versions..I only bought 2k15 because it was the first wwe game released on pc after a decade..but now if they keep up the trend & keep releasing the game in April I won't have any shame in downloading it from torrent

Having to wait until April for a PC version that will run better (with the right hardware) than the console version and has modding possibilities is not that big a deal.  Im a pirate from way back and I pirate way more games than I buy but when I believe a game deserves my support (eg. Fallout 4, 7 Days to Die, Ark etc) I will happily buy it. 

WWE 2k games on PC definitely fits that category, for years many of us dreamed of/hoped for a decent PC wrestling game and now its a reality we need to get behind it and support it or it will cease to exist. Personally I thought 2k15 was a pretty shitty game (Im still playing 2k14 on 360) but I bought it and I  will buy WWE 2k16 regardless because without our support we may never get the PC wrestling game we deserve.

Yeah those figures are massively skewed to Asian countries, the China market is worth 20 billion alone, so that leaves 9 billion for the rest of the world. The bad thing in those figures is publishers like Bethesda, 2K, EA, Activision etc, their games don't sell in China. China is very much a home market, they buy games tailored for them. So 2K has no hope of selling 100 copies of WWE 2K16 on PC in China, so that market is closed for them. Consoles were banned in China until very recently, and the sales have been slow to start, but that happens when you show people fire for the first time. So short term the PC games market is tipped to increased, but largely on the back of a very closed China market; long term though, if platform holders support the release of Asian MMORPGs on consoles, it's expected to even out. Still all irrelevant to 2K and especially WWE 2K16, the PC sales are bread crumbs. Buy more games.

I kinda agree on you with buying games that are actually worth buying, hence I bought GTA V 3 times on different consoles/PC but 2k will never really get my money unless I buy the console verison which is un-torrentable(current-gen), the game is just not worth 60$ and they're delaying it on us not to fix bugs but to get high sales on consoles so I really don't respect any developer that would do that, Rockstar did that tho but I bought the game three times since it's actually an awesome game but WWE is shit and delayed so no reason to pay them at all.

But that wasn't what you argued. You argued that consoles outright generate more revenue than PC. Plus you picked some bad companies to highlight in your "only America matters" spiel. Bethesda kills on PC, even to this day Skyrim is in the top sellers each month. Look at EA sales figures, with the exception of the Q Madden drops, PS4 is tops, but PC  is number 2, vastly outselling Xbox One, mostly due to Fifa, which I know you don't want to hear, sells a ton of more copies outside of America than domestically. Oh and yes 2K does care about China, China loves basketball, NBA 2K could make a boat load of cash over there. I never really understood this animosity some console players seem to have. Why would you not want the game on PC? More platforms means more money for 2k, means a better game next year. You should want 2k to come out on every platform imaginable and sell well on them all. Releasing the game on PC is literally millions of dollars in free money for 2k.

Agree 100%. It's blatantly obvious what they hope to accomplish by releasing at a later date. They're slowly losing my support.
