Should I open my WWE 2K16 for PS4?

I don't hate the game, but honestly if I knew of a PC release that was pretty soon, I would've waited. I was so eager to do the Austin showcase, now I'm just like "ok, what's next?" I'm too hands on  and want to customize everything and create WCW97-98, but it's pretty hard to do that accurately on consoles.

Well.. 2K16 still hasn't been announced for PC, no information on that what so ever, who knows if 2K will even release it on PC.

They announced 2k16 for PC actually (Just like they did on 2k15) but everybody forgot about it after a while and then 2k suddenly released it for PC. I am pretty sure that's what's going to happen when they profit from the console versions and that's another big reason for me to torrent the game and not pay for it since 2k is such a rip off company.

AI  seems to be improved a lot and they can make a match that bit better. The new reversal stocks are actually quite good, makes the match flow a hell of a lot better... But, that's just my opinion.

I bit the bullet and got the Xbox One version, since I still had credit I needed to spend. Anyhow, the modded PC version of WWE 2k15 is better. At least that one has all the match types available via cheat engine (I still don't get why 2k doesn't enable all the match types or at least include a match creator - it's all there and working under the hood anyhow!). I like some of the improvements in WWE 2k16, but it doesn't warrant a new version..These things should have been free updates to 2k15.  Also, the graphics look to be worse than 2k15, but that might be because I'm so used to the beautifully anti-aliased high resolution PC graphics in 2k15. If you don't own 2k15 yet, then either get the PC version of 2k15 if you have a good enough PC or wait for 2k16 on the PC (which presumably will be released about a month after the final DLC for the console versions comes out). If you aren't a PC gamer and don't own 2k15, feel free to get 2k16. It isn't as bad as some like to make it appear to be.

Would you say 2K16 is better than WWE'12 through 2K14?
The last WWE game I truly loved, was Smackdown vs Raw 2006, I liked 2007, didnt care for the controls and how much they slowed the gameplay, but I thoroughly enjoyed 2007.
2008 had a horrible career mode, as if they got extremely lazy with the game.
but then 2009 came out, and they proved to me that they can be even lazier, than 2010 came out and there was no story mode at all (road to wrestlemania crap does not count lmao)

I never played 07, but I loved 08.

Yes it kinda went to shit from SvR 09 to SvR 11.

WWE '12 was a huuge improvement, and WWE '13 was just as good just with even more content

WWE 2K14 was also said to be a bigger and badder version of '12 and '13, I never played it but lots of people say it was the best game in recent years

WWE 2K15 was a major step-back since it was on a new console, but now it seems like they have it figured out, I enjoy this game as much if not more than 08, which is my favourite wrestling game, followed by WWE '13, which I am definitely enjoying 2K16 a lot more right now

It's not really missing anything special, the gameplay is perfect this year, and the career mode is kinda generic but there are post-match interviews and a really deep rival and tag team system, and you have personality traits and the actual oppurtunity to ruin someone elses match and turn both face and heel whenever you want.

I think its great, and while some elements could be better, I definitely enjoy this game and look forward to 2K17

Thats a bit of a stretch though, I don't know what games they played, but I can already tell and know WWE 2K16 isn't on the level of HCTP or SvR2006

Dude I have no idea what your prejudice against this game is coming from, it is really good, most people who play it have said that it is on HCTP level and they played HCTP for a long time. IGN gave it a 8.8/10, and I would personally give it a 9/10, it is really that good.

Exactly, if anything that would probably leave a horrible impression as it took a few matches to get used to the reversal and pin/submission system

His arguments will only be disputed because of explicit bias not pertaining to the root of the argument to begin with. 

Mate, to be honest with you, there has been one year that has passed since the last game. Do you really think there would be any drastic changes since that time? Based on what you listed and what you preferred, you share the majority opinion in regards to WWE gaming as a whole. If you disliked WWE 2K15, chances are you, yourself will be dissapointed with this year's iteration of the game as well. 

Don't let casual gamers persuade you into saying it is the "best game since Here Comes the Pain." That is reaching it and no where close to the majority opinion. The newer members will defend 2K like it's their kin and some of the older members will conform if they are on the fence. Considering excuses and blindly overlooking faults appear to be the standard recently, and that is just based on what I've witnessed. Some even claimed to say SvR 2008 was the best experience they ever had. This should tell you everything you need to know. Though, SvR 2008 was the best sold, it only sold units because it was the first wrestling game on the PS3. But, it ranks up there as one of the worst games ever created for the genre.

There is no refinery in judging the quality of the design that their complacency clouds their judgment. These are the same people who like the Avenger movies and think Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight series is the best thing ever made. Hell, they will even try to convince you into choosing Bulbasaur over Charmander, claim Sons of Liberty was the best game in the MGS saga, and say Goonies 2 was better than the first. Need I say more? Most profitable does not necessarily mean "better". There is no singularity to these types of opinions because they intend to misguide and "lead you on," because they lack sophistication. 

For better or for worse, 2K16 still has the same gripes 2K15 had. Of course you will get additional characters in a newer iteration of the game but they've essentially reintegrated removed features, made the same robotic gameplay a bit faster, added a few lines, and called it a day. 

Keep in mind, I have nothing against anyone nor the company for that matter. I want to keep it real with you OP and am looking out for your best interests. I, too, am an enthusiast of these games at heart. The problem here is, the target market for these games has changed and it would apply more to the general wrestling audience instead of the die-hard fan. Save your money. Buy it six months from now when there's a spring sale. Listen to your gut feeling also.

There are better games coming out this fall which deserve your money. Pretty soon, you'll even grow tired and abandon this series altogether because you'll realize that it will essentially remain stagnant, and other AAA titles will be miles ahead to what they've got that it'll be no comparison. This series is still stuck in 2010 with enhanced visuals. Don't let anyone dissuade you into believing something else otherwise. It's another year and the same wrestling game we've been getting since SvR 2011.

Now this is a reply, thanks mate. I have 2K15 on PC, lol, and yeah I'm aware, I've pretty much played every single wrestling game in existence, including ultimate muscle, XD
and yeah, I'm not getting persuaded, by someone saying "its the best thing since HCTP" or "best since 2008" cause, as I said before, that's a bit of a stretch lol.
I'd say WWF Warzone was better than 2K15, only thing 2K15 had over warzone, was better graphics, and of course, gameplay. but the gameplay was 100x easier.
The last Wrestling game I enjoyed, was 2K14, it had problems and things I hated, but it was way better than SVR2009-WWE13 in my opinion.
(What I really don't understand is, THQ made 2K14, but 2K had took over the rights and published it in their name, well, they have the foundation THQ left for them, they should have continued there and improved the engine THQ was working on, but instead, the scrap almost everything THQ did, and gave us a "Beta" game basically in 2K15 at full game price. 1 Thing 2K did right was release it to PC.

I'm pretty much just going to return it to Gamestop and grab a wal-mart copy, put some time into Career mode, and if I like it, I'll hold onto it, if I don't ill return it to walmart and get full refund, and then boot up my PCSX2 Emulator, and play FirePro Wrestling or something. lmao.

About the game  i have been playing all days with friends and  it feels amazing to me definatly a huge improvement  gameplay is GREAT, now if you look for a  single  player story driven  career mode  and what you are looking is something like the HCTP one this may  make you not happy even tho there are imporvements in the my career it lacks storywise big time .... not that the writers in current WWE are any way better  tho
