Should I open my WWE 2K16 for PS4?

Okay, so last year, I pre-ordered WWE 2K15 and picked it up at the midnight(9PM lol) Release, and was so so so so so so disappointed with it, I wanted to return it, but alas, I can't because the game was open and bought new, and was forced to sell it to gamestop for $25 lol.. (Tried Craigslist, but nobody wanted that piece of crap, atleast the PC version was/is better)
I went to Gamestop today, and looked for a used copy of 2K16, but they had none available, so I was forced to buy it new, but I don't want to open, I want some legit feedback from people who know the series, I don't trust random gaming website reviews, since most people just casually play wrestling games, and hardly do much with them, unlock the people who are dedicated to making caws for themselves(and others) and knows the history and played most of the games, you know? It's halloween and I'm scared. Scared to open 2K16. Lmfao

It depends on what you like from the games to be honest. I've played the showcase and a few matches so far. I do like the matches this year and the reversal slots really do make you think more about working the match rather than reversing everything and winning easy.

That said, I'm a bit annoyed that they've decided to just slap on some hair to current superstar and call them their retro counterparts. ABA taker and Austin are prime examples of this. Also the cc on ps4 has been giving me network errors for a while so haven't even been able to download anything. 

 

This is just my thoughts so far, take from it what you will but I think they could've done a better job and not be so lazy.

But tbh 2k16 is a dope ass game and is worth the money I even brought the starter kick becus I was playing my career so much lol dude the game is nowhere near 2k15 honestly. This game is great of course u have a few glitches ever now and then but overall the game is great every match feels different and the CPU actually gives u a good match. Open the game and fall in love this is what we been wanting a real wrestling game

is My Career similar to the "Story" modes from Smackdown vs Raw 2005-2008? Where they had actual cutscenes, and voices?
Or is it similar to 2K15 where they had no voices (except for vicki guerrero for that one scene and bill demott) and they used cutscenes from Create-A-Story Mode from 2K14..?

If you didn't like 2k15 then don't open 2k16, 2k16 is really simillar to 2k15. I tried it at a friend's house and it's basically the same shit with slight updates. Only things improved is CAW mode and it's still full of shitty recoloring bugs.

They need to look at SVR2006 for inspiration on how an online WWE game should be, with records, socializing, and so on

well, I play the shit out of 2K15 for PC, cause there isn't really any other wrestling games (dont have a PS3 anymore, so no 2k12-2k14)
when I played 2K15, I'm usually just bullshitting in universe mode, but its gets so boring after like 30mins, the biggest take-away from 2K15 to me was the career mode, I waited since Smackdown vs Raw 2007 for them to have another decent story mode, and what do they give? An Incomplete garbage of a mode where the difficulty was locked, and they re-used cutscenes from Universe/Create-A-Story mode on 2K14, that pissed me off so much, it's like I was playing a dumber version of Universe mode. Which is why I play PCSX2/Dolphin Emu with the older WWE games and games from Japan because theyre just so so much better. Especially Day of Reckoning 1 and 2, those had such an amazing story mode.
ever since the originals on N64 (No Mercy, WM2000) Story Mode has been a big factor for me. The game can have limited match modes and what not, thats fine, No Mercy was limited, and it was amazing, all I asked from 2K was to deliver a decent story.

10 Years ago I imagined WWE games would have a real story mode, (Start in the indies, make your way into the WWE by getting noticed in the indies, unique rivalries with voice acting and so on) instead, 10years later... we got 2K15, which has less features than WWF Warzone, fucking Warzone people!. lol

WWE 2K15 was a major step-back since it was on a new console, but now it seems like they have it figured out, I enjoy this game as much if not more than 08, which is my favourite wrestling game, followed by WWE '13, which I am definitely enjoying 2K16 a lot more right now

It's not really missing anything special, the gameplay is perfect this year, and the career mode is kinda generic but there are post-match interviews and a really deep rival and tag team system, and you have personality traits and the actual oppurtunity to ruin someone elses match and turn both face and heel whenever you want.

I think its great, and while some elements could be better, I definitely enjoy this game and look forward to 2K17

Blows 2k15 out of water? Lol, because of the new limited reverse mode and very slight update of the gameplay? It's still shit just like 2k15. I don't get how you're losing sleep over a shitty game.

Dude don't get them to drag you to open it, it's utter shit. These guys are the kind of guys that you give them a bunch of new models and they would say OH THIS IS AWESOME YOU SHOULD BUY THE GAME.

Can't test it as I don't pay for ps+  but from what I hear it's better. Obviously spammers  are still rampant. CC itself though as I said hasn't been working, giving network error all the time.

Thats a bit of a stretch though, I don't know what games they played, but I can already tell and know WWE 2K16 isn't on the level of HCTP or SvR2006

Nah this game is polished and fun to play. I was expecting a 2k15 quality again and was going to buy it cheap later but glad I didn't. It's a way better game than I expected, even comparably in the busy gaming season

I asked this a few times, and never got a straight-forward answer.
Is Career mode similar to 2K15 where they just used cutscenes from Universe/Create-Story Mode from 2K14, or do they have actual cutscenes with voice acting, I don't mean interviews either, I meant for example, a cutscene starts, I run into Kevin Owens backstage or wherever and we get into an arguement with voice acting, not subtitles, and feud in a rivalry with awesome cutscenes?
Cause WWE 2K15 Career mode, as I said, felt like a dumber version of Universe mode, and it makes no sense to me as to why you'd put a limit on how many years can be played, when the game doesn't even progress like a story
