Nevermore. Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) So I was messing around with the face photo import feature, and after lining everything up seemingly correctly, I started changing everything to my liking until I was happy with how it looked for the time being as I could most likely edit it later, and as soon as I finished it - the photo had shifted and moved to the center of the face. It went from looking pretty well-blended to just looking as if a texture had been slapped on. I have attempted to re-do this multiple times and it always ends up the same. I took some screens: Before:After: Has anyone else had this issue, or found a work-around? This basically makes CAW mode unusable for me if this is just how it is. dlb3 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Try adding a design under face art and then delete it, had this issue with one I downloaded when editing it and it seemed to fix it Quote

Jamie Dark Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I'm having a slightly different problem with Face Importer... This seems to always turn out like this every time after I am finished. It looks normal while I am going through everything, but once it gets to skin colour and finishing, it ends as this monstrosity. I don't think this game likes my face Quote
openurlife Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I've been having the same issue. It was fine the first day it was released but the next day it did this on a new one I was making. Do you all have the downloaded version or disc? I'm ising download. Quote

MIYO Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 (edited) I'm having this issue too, have wasted so many upload slots because this face import is so screwy Edited October 31, 2015 by MIYO Quote
Nevermore. Posted October 31, 2015 Author Posted October 31, 2015 I have it on the disc also. When I first put the game in the PS4 I had to download an 800MB update, so maybe that screwed up this feature? Quote
openurlife Posted October 31, 2015 Posted October 31, 2015 Ok I think I found the issue that might be a work around, kinda. Do your face and accept it when your done. It'll probably change. Add hair, eyebrows etc and it might change it again. Go back to face deformation and then just back out and accept the finishes. I just had this happen to me and when I did this my face looked way better than it did before. Its almost like every time you add something you have to go back to face deformation. try it. Not saying this will 100% work but it did for me. Quote
Cave Waverider Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) I suggest to edit the image beforehand to cut out things like the eyes, hair, ears, etc. It'll make things much easier. It's also a good idea to expand the skin on the sides so it wraps around the head, at least underneath the hair so you don't get any nasty edges. Sometimes applying some slight transparency and blending effects may help as well. Edited November 1, 2015 by Cave Waverider Quote
Krossfaded Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 How'd you even get your face-picture logo uploaded? I've tried, about 20x, and every token the game gives me, the 2K website says its invalid Quote

You have to use a normal picture. They pointed that out I'm having a slightly different problem with Face Importer... This seems to always turn out like this every time after I am finished. Plus the color is messed up on yours because the image you used has bad lighting Quote

Redneck Witness Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 You can tell its a bad picture too, you have bad lighting on the face, when selecting the skin tone to match you want to avoid the highlights Quote
Jamie Dark Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 I have been able to fix my problem. Resizing the picture to 512x512 helps, as well as finding out that the problem that I had above only seems to happen to CAWs already been made, it works perectly fine on new ones (Which means I will have to restart my MyCareer if I want my face in.Here is what it looks like now (Still need to mess around a bit more): Quote
Nevermore. Posted November 3, 2015 Author Posted November 3, 2015 Redneck, I did use a normal picture, it was originally a front on, mugshot sort of image, all I did was make it fit properly into the blue outline. I have been able to fix my problem. Hopefully I have the same luck. Quote
MST3Claye Posted November 4, 2015 Posted November 4, 2015 Making the James Storm CAW I worked on yesterday. I used a face photo and had many things happen.. the hair looked like a last gen model being used, all shiny and layer-ish. The face deforming seemed to change when I'd go into it and almost deform into ape-like mashed face. In-game designs I'd have on the forehead and cheeks would discolor where it wouldn't blend with the skin tone. Not sure about the face deformation, but the design color issues seem to go away when I get out of that mode in CAW and then go back into it. I'm afraid to try it with face deformation to see if it works saving the stuff in face, going out to the main options in editing that certain CAW and going back into face morphing... This isn't face import/deforming issue, but I also had weird yellow splotches show up on my CAW under the navel, on the legs and all over the palms of the hands.. Thanks to the color, it made the CAW very awkward looking.. LOL Hope they fix these glitches. Hard to imagine having enough patience to deal with this. Quote
GSlinger Roland Posted November 23, 2015 Posted November 23, 2015 I just uploaded a caw. The face texture was a bit light. Changed the skin tone. It worked fine. Made and addition later. Texture reverted back. Changed the color again and it held. Then, I added a new attire. The previous texture reverted back but the new attire cas was fine. For some reason now, if I correct one attire, the other will revert back. Any work arounds? Quote
