crgtapout88 Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 So I pre-ordered the game back in July, received the game yesterday only to find no code for the Terminator DLC in the box, in the packaging, on the receipt or in a separate email from either Wal-Mart or 2K.Have contacted Wal-Mart Support, told to contact 2K its their issue.Contacted 2K, was told it was Wal-Mart's issue.Very Frustrated! crgtapout88 Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 Have now been instructed to contact VUDU, not sure how this will help either. Quote
Sunny Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Do you have the receipt? Take the receipt to the customer support desk and make sure you speak to someone hospitable and let them know about this promotion. Being polite takes you far. This can only work if you have the receipt. But, you have to make sure you are talking to someone who has a good character and not an inferiority complex. Also, do you look white, are in shape, and have a professional haircut? These are some things that may work well in your favor. Not being "racialist," but realistic. Quote
crgtapout88 Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 Well, I ordered it online so I have the confirmation email and the invoice or whatever you would call it that was in the packaging the game shipped in.And as far as being white, in shape, and a professional haircut, I do consider myself to be all 3 but have no idea how this would help me get my DLC code, can not tell if you're being for real or sarcastic. Sunny Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Disregard that last statement. I thought you ordered in store. Now, here lies your case. In the confirmation e-mail, does it say anything pertaining to the Arnold Schwarzennegar promotion because you have to call them out on their bluff to proceed and for that, you must have a compelling argument, or in this case evidence? For all intents and purposes, because that promotion is not listed on their website, it never existed or does not exist at all in fact, even if Google says otherwise. Now, you can direct them to 2K's link: https://wwe.2k.com/news/play-wwe-2k16-early-only-at-walmartThey partnered up with Walmart for this promotion, but as soon as you mention an external party, they will direct you to said party and you'll eventually be tossed back and forth between one party to the next.I think a well valued lesson is to be learned here and that is to be wary of your purchases online as you run the risk of being trapped with these fraudulent tactics. The seller has leniency in updating their website at their behest so it is important to keep a verified record in the form of screenshots, images uploaded to servers, as well as video captures for proof later to call them out on their bullshit. I keep a record of all my online transactions in folders to revisit at my convenience. This means what the page was showing before I purchased the item, when I purchased it, as well as afterwards, along with confirmation details, et cetera.I personally have always bought physical copies of video games at retail stores, particularly Best Buy, because I am a regular customer and a couple of my mates work there part-time. I am not endorsing Best Buy and your mileage may wary, but I can request to look up any of my past purchases no matter the year and compare at will. So, even if I were to order something online, I can look up the receipt and the promotion listed would be visible at the bottom of said receipt because I logged into my account to make the purchase. Therefore, it was saved in my records. That is for the customer's convenience as well as a transaction history between the buyer and seller kept for verification purposes in their database. Quote
Mcwayne210c Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 Hey I don' know if this will help but I don't need my terminator code here it is for Xbox One F96GF-KP2QH-QQD32-H243P-9MC3Z Quote
crgtapout88 Posted October 28, 2015 Author Posted October 28, 2015 Thanks! But.....I need for PS4 I get your point in endorsing Best Buy, but I thought Wal Mart being like the biggest retail store in America would be great to buy online from Quote
jitz Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 E-Mail Wal Mart, tell them this isn't included in the box but is given on a seperate piece of paper on release of the game if you've preordered, copy in your email from 2K saying it's Wal Mart's problem. If that then does not work, email 2K again. Copy in the reply you get from Wal Mart, say their customer service is being completely unhelpful, and this is your second attempt trying to resolve the problem with them. Then they will probably find you a download code. It's important to get it in written form from Wal Mart that they won't help, so you need to email them, not call. Quote

mrelectriccity Posted October 28, 2015 Posted October 28, 2015 yeah same shit happened to me when i pre-ordered the ufc game for xb1 when it first came out, turns out the woman that scanned the card didnt do it right, so i ended up getting my $5 back but no preorder dlc Quote
ty2005_92 Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 The same thing happened with me. I'll be contacting Walmart and I'll let you know what happens. Quote
Sunny Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 I think it is best to communicate amongst friends and spread the message about Wal-Mart's unethical business practices. Just because they are the top listed Fortune 500 company doesn't mean they actively seek for the consumer's best interests. I think that should be common knowledge. The consumer will always have to deal with damages no matter even if it is something as minuscule as this and it's been a pattern as of late. It is exemplary specifically from oversized corporations like these who give two shits about building trust and camaraderie between the customer all while closing small businesses along the way. Grievances and mediocre service was not listed on the advertisement the moment they started this promotion with 2K. Then why are there multiple consumers experiencing such? It can't be oversight on their part either because the person who headed the promotion didn't handle the deliverance of the message correctly, and due to their incompetence, consumers are not only fulfilling their part of the deal, but getting the short end of the stick unfairly.Wal-Mart should stop engaging in the electronics business and move primarily to home goods and appliance like how brand retailers like Sears and Kmart have. Aero Posted October 30, 2015 Posted October 30, 2015 Personally I think 2k should be putting codes in the box! Especially when the dlc is something as shit as this years! Quote
