skunkypants Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Meaning, any type of custom logo/design placed on a mini-tron is rendered useless during entrances, again? I have not found any way to retain design/logos placed on minitrons during entrances.Am I missing something? Because all that ends up happening is that, the wrestler's minitron overrides the arena graphics placed on the minitron screen just like in 2K 13, and 2k 14.Uhm, what? Yes, during an entrance the individual wrestler's graphics will turn on, this is completely normal and why would you not have it do that? Uhm....maybe because people who make arenas would like to use custom art work for their stage designs in order to make it look like a real stage??? Has anyone figured out if there are any screens or anything that allow for a custom logo and won't turn into a movie during entrances? At least in the past there would be one or two set pieces that would but I can't find a single one this year. Basically makes the idea of designing a stage pretty useless. Yes, but not during the entrance. When an entrance is going on, you don't see the Raw or SmackDown graphics.I understand your point. The problem is that there are no parts that you can use that allow you to add any kind of custom branding. So where as the WWE uses the big huge LED stage where all the screens change to entrance videos, they at least have the huge WWE symbol on the stage. In the past, we were able to re-skin some of the set pieces and add textures to them that way. For example the Survivor Series 97 tunnel was really useful as you could re-skin it, plus add a logo to the top plate. (At least in WWE 13 you could. There was a bug in WWE 14 and it would turn into a postage stamp sized video). But now, that's been removed as all the set pieces have to remain 100% intact. A perfect example is the Clash of the Champions flag not being able to be changed.I know it's not a total game breaker. The game is still fun. It's just frustrating that an entire mode that's supposed to allow you to make your own custom arena, basically relegates you to always using a generic mashup of WWE trons. ESPECIALLY when you consider the possibilities of what could be done if they simply allowed us to decide which screens we wanted graphics on instead of video. Last night I spent 2 hours designing a custom logo and making my own lighting rig/entrance way for an ECW arena in photoshop. Then I spent another hour finding a perfect configuration of screens to cheat it so it looked like an authentic 1997 ECW arena, only to have it turn two of the screens into smoke and the other into some red pulsing movie during entrances. Rendering the entire idea useless. If you can't see not only why that's frustrating but also how awesome things would be if they simply made a small tweak. I don't know what to say. If you absolutely need to see your custom show's logo the 2 seconds the superstar is on the ramp, why not just print it on the floor? Lots of arenas have that logo printed on the floor but no I can honestly not see how it is an issue, thats how it is in real life, and if you can't breathe without seeing your custom logo for 10 seconds because it is literally (probably, depending) on your apron in the ring, its only on the stage you don't see it.Anyways if it is that important to you just set every superstar you will be using on that arena's minitron to arena minitron, but it really is pointless, its a lot more personal to have their own graphics, I mean its just like having your own theme or titantron, just a bit more. Or do you remove all superstars own titantron and themes as well?Meaning, any type of custom logo/design placed on a mini-tron is rendered useless during entrances, again? People have used the screens to re-build incredibly accurate Nitro arenas, or in my case ECW arenas. Then during the only time the camera is ever actually FOCUSED on the set (during the entrances), the whole set turns to screens. ......Oh boy.How do you not understand that the screen is another personal graphic the wrestlers have during an entrance. Their theme song, their titantron, the lights in the arena, everything changes based on what superstar is making his entrance. It is not meant to show the arena logo during an entrance, its not like that in real life, and it has not been like that for over 15 years before they decided to give superstars their own graphics. You will see the stage during certain camera angles in the match and in the cutscene after the match, the whole point isn't to stare at the stage for minutes, its just something subtle that is there and adds to the whole arena, the main focus is the ring, so why not spend a bit more time on that because you seem like you spent hours on the stage (and only the screens too lol) and is now mad because you don't see it.1. Play falls count anywhere2. Walk up to the stage/ramp3. Wrestle normally4. ???5. Profit, have fun.Yup. Got it. You're absolutely right. Who could possibly want to see this arena in all it's glory during an entrance?http://smacktalks.org/forums/topic/58943-nwo-marks-arena-topic/I'd MUCH rather have it be a bunch of mini trons. WAAAY more of an authentic experience. Don't know what I was thinking....what? how do you still not get it? when Randy Orton makes his way to the ring, do you see the fucking smackdown logo all over the place? no, you don't.thats pretty much how simple it is, yet you don't get it?Who cares about Randy Orton and Smackdown??? There's a MASSIVE amount of people who use the entire creation suite to create retro CAWs and CAAs to use in both Universe and exhibition. That's why it's important. Let's just agree to disagree. I'm on the side of thinking that says that there are a ton of people who would love and use a feature that would allow them to recreate dozens and dozens of AUTHENTIC looking arenas from the most successful period in the history of pro-wrestling and you're not. You'd rather complain about something like there not being Wall Trons for CAWs. Cool. We all have our priorities.Have fun with Randy Orton on Smackdown.....This is ridiculous, surely you are a troll right.Fuck I hate the fact that there are titantrons and themes in this game! I just really want to hear that crowd chant when I walk to the ring for 2 minutes and that titantron just blocks the beautiful Raw logo underneath... But wait, thats how it is in real life, huh I guess I will just let it be like that in the game then because that is literally what happens in real life no matter what your argument is.They don't let you customize the walltrons and stage trons so that you can use them during the entrance, during an entrance, the focus is the entrance. Nothing, else. But again, you are most likely a troll, the shit you say make no sense at all.I'm not a troll at all. The more we talk about this the more confused you sound so let's just let it go. It was my mistake for engaging you. I honestly thought after just my first post you'd understand what we're all talking about but that's not the case so just move on. Quote

You are obviously a troll. It's not about seeing an 'arena logo'. It's the fact that in order to make retro designed stage you need to be able to use the screens as place holders for graphics. If those screens then turn to movies during the entrance, then the designs disappear. All anyone here is asking for is the option to decide whether or not that happens. Not looking to lose ANY functionality, simply wishing/hoping that it can be tweaked so that we have an option. That's all.If you still think I'm a troll after that explanation I'm afraid there's nothing I or anyone else can do to help you. It might be time for you to go for a long walk, try your best to find the rock you once hit your head on and smash away until you come to your senses. Quote

Titavius Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 (edited) Just think.. How grand and elaborate have some of the Wrestlemania stages been in recent years? Just think of the effort that has gone into the design and planning of some of those structures. Now, when you're watching Wrestlemania, how many times do you say to yourself.. "man, I wish they'd cut away from this Wrestling crap, and focus on the stage for the entire four hour duration of the show" Edited October 29, 2015 by Titan83 2 Quote

I mean you have 9 fucking posts, you probably made this account only to fuck around, good job. That's not what I'm trying to do at all. The first thing I did when I got the game was going into CAA and try to see if logos got replaced during entrances. As luck would have it I happend to try the Smackdown Fist arena, thinking that it would be a good base to do an original WCW Thunder arena. So I slapped the WCW logo on the screens and tested it out. Sure enough, the logos stayed! I then jumped into the game and started playing showcase. The next night when I got home from work, I started working on an ECW arena. Spent the whole night putting it together, trying different screen options and then when I was finally happy with the way it looked went to test it. Sure enough, all the logos disappeared. I tried a few different things and couldn't figure out why it was happening. So. Being someone who's checked out SmackTalks youtube channel for the last few years, I thought maybe this forum would have some answers. After all, the 2K forum is a disaster of useless info and WLF doesn't seem to have as much traffic as it used to. So I come to this site and low and behold I see a post by thebib62 and he's having the same problem. In that post I saw your response:"Uhm, what? Yes, during an entrance the individual wrestler's graphics will turn on, this is completely normal and why would you not have it do that?"Seemed odd. Most people were responding saying that the idea that he'd return the game because of this problem was overreacting. But not you. You didn't seem to understand why someone would possibly want to have graphics be replaced by videos during a wrestler's entrance. Thus, I made this account to explain it to you. I also thought, since my hope is to dig into CAA this year, it would be a good idea to join the site so that I could promote my work.Just to be clear. For the last day, I've been trying to explain things to you from many different angles and your only real responses have been to call me a troll. So really, who's the troll here? And because I can't be 100% sure that you're going to understand what I'm saying, or the question I'm asking, I'll give you the answer. It's you. Quote

It's you."The first thing I did when I got the game was going into CAA and try to see if logos got replaced during entrances."Let's all take a second and look at this:Now again, where is the problem for you? Do you see the Raw logo when Randy walks to the ring? No. Then how can you possibly know that it is happening in the Raw arena oh god?! Nameplate, city location graphics, ring apron. There is no doubt what arena you are in, you will no doubt see the logos you have made on your arena, just not during the entrance, which is pretty self-explanatory.I get it, you want to make an Impact arena so you put the Impact logo on the walltrons, but then you complain when John Cena's graphics overlap it? Where do you think you are putting the logo? You place it on a screen. A screen which will showcase that this is John Cena's entrance, and it has been this way for 15 years. What you are asking for is ridiculous, unrealistic, and seems like you just pulled from your ass to be fair with you. You are creative to come up with this idea though, because it literally makes no sense to anyone at all.TL;DR: The game is working perfectly well in the way that you say it is "broken" and you should "return it" and "harass" 2K over email, I am very certain everyone can see who the troll is. skunkypants Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 I do understand that you want to see the arena logo you have created, I understand this. Now how do you still not understand that when a wrestler walks to the ring his graphics come on and it has been this way for 15 fucking years? You are obviously a troll. It's not about seeing an 'arena logo'. It's the fact that in order to make retro designed stage you need to be able to use the screens as place holders for graphics. If those screens then turn to movies during the entrance, then the designs disappear. All anyone here is asking for is the option to decide whether or not that happens. Not looking to lose ANY functionality, simply wishing/hoping that it can be tweaked so that we have an option. That's all.If you still think I'm a troll after that explanation I'm afraid there's nothing I or anyone else can do to help you. English is not my first language, I am NorwegianAnd did it ever occur to you that since it works in one arena in the game, that it might be a bug? That its not supposed to be like that?I am not against people making whatever they want lol, I do however think its hilarious but at the same time sad that someone would harass 2K because there is a bug in the game. And that said person doesn't even want the bug fixed, he actually want all arenas to have the bug, lolwhat Quote
skunkypants Posted October 29, 2015 Posted October 29, 2015 Ah. I figured as much.I haven't harassed 2K at all. Not sure where you got that from. I'd guess you're confused again. As far as whether or not its a bug in the SD arena is a moot point. The fact that you can do it in the one arena, means it can be done and so it should be done for all. Especially since you lose zero functionality from it being that way. Quote
Skevlin Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Meaning, any type of custom logo/design placed on a mini-tron is rendered useless during entrances, again? Or do you remove all superstars own titantron and themes as well? How are you not understanding the fact that people use the screens to design their own custom stages/sets?? I do understand that you want to see the arena logo you have created, I understand this. Now how do you still not understand that when a wrestler walks to the ring his graphics come on and it has been this way for 15 fucking years? You are obviously a troll.Dude... Harsh much? He makes a valid point. It would be nice to have the option to turn off the mini tron for custom arenas. If you are using a custom arena you may very likely be using a custom superstar who does not have a mini tron video. It would be nice to have a stagnant custom logo instead. Or for example, Cactus Jack... Let's say you are playing a custom ECW arena, when his entrance starts the mini tron changes to the rotating wwe logo. Kind of takes away from the feel of an old ECW show. Quote

Or do you remove all superstars own titantron and themes as well? How are you not understanding the fact that people use the screens to design their own custom stages/sets?? Kind of takes away from the feel of an old ECW show. you can turn off the minitron video there's a thing in create an entrance where you can turn off the ribbon movie which is the minitron option. this convo makes no sense. fufu ÷ Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner, skunkypants. Ignore Cerberus, he's kind of thick-headed so you wont get through to him with sound reasoning and solid logic. He's like one of those people who win an argument even though they're absolutely wrong, simply because they wont accept it and the other person loses patience. You've explained yourself fantastically, whereas he's just missed it completely time and again. 1 Quote

Sure it works in one arena in the entire game, but that is because that one arena is bugged. What he wants is for all arenas to be bugged. I'm sorry I didn't see this sooner, skunkypants. thebib62 Posted November 7, 2015 Author Posted November 7, 2015 Just as an update to everyone here, I emailed 2K, and they are looking into the issue. I got lucky with the person who got my email, sounds like he's an actual fan of WWE and 2K16.I'll keep you guys posted! Quote
Cerb Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Oh no you're FrickinAwesomeV2well if you say so Just as an update to everyone here, I emailed 2K, and they are looking into the issue. I got lucky with the person who got my email, sounds like he's an actual fan of WWE and 2K16.I'll keep you guys posted! Why would they fix it?Let me sum it up:You put a logo on the minitron in your arena (which is a screen)During a wrestlers entrance, (John Cena) his graphics override your logo, on the minitronHow does that surprise you and why would the guy at 2K fix this? What is there to fix? This is a genuine question, because I actually can't see why anyone would be upset at this, sure your logo is gone, but its not supposed to be there during an entrance. Edit: I went to test my theory, and I saw that during an entrance even if you set the minitron to arena movie there will be a generic new graphic covering over the minitrons, so I guess you were right. You explained it horribly however because I had to go and test it for my self. Cerb Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Ah. I figured as much.I haven't harassed 2K at all. Not sure where you got that from. I'd guess you're confused again. As far as whether or not its a bug in the SD arena is a moot point. The fact that you can do it in the one arena, means it can be done and so it should be done for all. Especially since you lose zero functionality from it being that way.So far the only arena that had custom logos appear during entrances was the SmackDown fist arena, the top left hand 'wall' tron kept my custom logo throughout. I'm hoping this is just an oversight that 2K would be able to patch. I'm going to harass them through email,(since their phone number is shutdown now) and see where it goes.It was the other guy who said the harass thing, which I found completely fucking ridiculous. Cerb Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Everybody else got it first time round, slugger. Just you who didn't.Obviously because it appears this was an issue in previous games, so you already knew that from the first post. I haven't played WWE games in years, and if you haven't from this post you would think he only meant the Superstars individual graphics were overwriting the customised screens. If he were to say: "Even though the individual superstar has an arena/show minitron, the game gives him a generic one during the entrance", it would mean a lot more sense.
