I got to play an almost final build of this years game yesterday therefore i've put together a lot of the details into the above video preview, mainly focusing on the new additions to create mode.

@Smacktalks You said something about having the option to use the new face photo morph for the side of the face to if I heard right; do you have anymore details about that? Would we have to import a side shot? I assume we would have the option to if we are able to do the photo morph but just wanted to get it confirmed if possible rather than assume and get my hopes up. Is it possible to create asian wrestlers with the updated morphing this year and can you create 4 different attires for each CAW as in previous games or is the number still limited at 2 attires per CAW?

yeah that kind of mentality i just don't understand. i get everyone plays the game their way but not worrying about universe just confuses me. i sort of wish those wishlists asking for my career never took precedence. cause ever since my career 2k is like "oh universe is a thq development. fuck it"

As much as it pains me, I have to agree with Jeff.  Not even a quick look at Universe seems a bit fishy, considering we already knew most of the My Career mode stuff.

 

I know Universe isnt everyones cup of tea but for a lot of people it it the bread and butter of a WWE game, Showcase gets boring once youve completed it once and My Career is great but does anyone really only want to use one wrestler  for the whole game?

 

All we really need to know is : 

A) Has the broken ass Rivalry system been fixed or removed/replaced?

B) Can you assign managers (come on, this shouldve been added years ago)?

C) Do team and stable members still get booked against each other?

SHRUGS. I know i've been a pain these last few months weeks years or whatever but Universe is what i have the most passion for. I've only been a "alternate attire" creator for a year, i know nothing about mods or photoshop. so what i excel at is story telling/creating. recreating etc. with that fucked up Rivalry manager i hate it's hard for me to have any type of enthusiasm for the mode. i mean 2k14 was doable because of story designer. if a cutscene fucked up i could just add a cutscene from SD into one of my videos. and that's the only reason i really started doing universe vids in the first place.  nd yeah i could care less about my career. it's great for those that want it but now it seems like 2k is just gonna be like "oh universe was a thq thing, lets just ignore it maybe the pop will go away" and yeah i didn't even play showcase last year. i did the hbk/hhh one and that was it. used unlock all for everything else. I digress. i just don't know. it's like they somewhat care but if universe is completely unchanged aside from booking people on more than one show that i could do with that 2k14 save editor, then what's the fucking point? LOL

Although I seriously wonder what people who don't buy this game for Universe really does, I mean we all play MyCareer and Showcase at one point, but they get boring quick as you said. Universe Mode is pretty much full control of a yearly wrestling show where you can pretty much play god, and this game will be better than ever with Create an Arena, Create a Title, and Create a Show.

But Universe Mode does have certain bugs such as the rivalry system and the ridiculous booking, you kinda get tired of fixing things like Jey Uso vs. Undertaker at WrestleMania, when Undertaker has been in a rivalry with someone else for months and you were expecting the game to get that. Also certain restrictions like only 1 title per show, or you need 1 PPV a month, or just 2 shows a PPV, should just be gone, I want to play Vince so why restrict these things?

also what i find weird is everyone wanted to know about the match options when you're selecting characters. every one wanted to know if that was in fact match creator yet something else our nefarious leader neglected to talk about. Maybe he ran out of time again. even though he was talking about the submission pin and chain wrestling system. yep they only looked at what the hell they wanted to. Just to make their stupid videos and get hits. Sorry for the rant but i'm just disgusted. this is why sometimes i just despise youtubers

I'd say 90% of the fun is creation - but it does depend on what kind of person you are.

 

As for not caring about Universe, I never cared for it but still used custom belts and arenas, so I kinda agree with that dude. Up until last year you could defend belts in exhibition, which was one of the things I did quite a lot for the sake of making videos. I always found it easier to paint a rivalry in my own head than to have universe repeat some generic cutscene, or use story designer and construct it all myself. Not saying your's and Jeff's opinion aren't valid, but people play these games different ways.

i actually agree with you on this. actually. guess we hit a breakthrough lol. but Last year the roster and match types were so bland that the first 3 months after getting the game i did alot of alternate attires and just uploaded them to see what would happen and i got pretty decent reviews so yeah i can agree that just creating can be fun. in fact i did that with CAA in 12 13 and 14.  and yeah i agree with doing exhibition as well. i do that quite a bit because universe just is off it's rocker at this moment lol. so yeah. and even just for fun i still just do exhibition matches when i don't feel like doing universe. so there's that too.
