Another 2KDev video.

BTW, anyone know if thats the new Samoan Driver finisher? Or is it the old animation.

Posted

It's the old one thus confirming that the new Sit-Out Tombstone is not Rikishi's

The Sitout Tombstone is likely for Owen Hart.  With Austin being the main focus of Showcase mode, I can't see him not being included.  That move essentially cut Austin's career short, so they'd have to at least acknowledge it when telling Stone Colds story.

Wait I thought the Sit-out Tombstone was a seperate move and that Samoan Driver 2 was the one people were wondering about. Rikishi's finisher is the Samoan Driver right?

Not to interrupt this thread but go check out my According to Shawn Michaels Attire thread and i have a whole thread about how he could be included

Yes the sitout tombstone piledriver is another move, since Rikishi still uses "Samoan Driver 1", I am guessing "Samoan Driver" will be Dana Brookes finisher. (hopefully)

Rikishi's and Dana Brooke's Samoan Drivers are too totally different thing Rikishi's was an Over the Shoulder Sit-Out Piledriver while Dana's is a is like a Fireman's Carry type of move also why would Dana be in the game?

Yes exactly, but the moves are still called Samoan Driver. I did not say she would, I said her finisher would, she is not the only one using that move at all

1:35, thats also called a Samoan Driver, including the sitdown thing Rikishi does, (should of been called Rikishi Driver but w/e)

Rakishi sumo thingy just keep going in the skin , his tassels stay up when hes in the suplex and Vader still dont have a pin after his corner finisher.

How hard it is to fix these simple thing ?

We won't see any major changes as long as they have Yukes. They've just become complacent at this point.

Gameplay looks good../we have seen enough of that...hope they release some universe mode info soon

it's not impossible they captured the moves hoping to get him...

what are you on about? This is not the year you can call them complacent with gameplay.

you don't know what you're talking about

really? so with all the changes you think it's the same? it's tons better than 2k15 was and what people have to realize is that before 2k, thq was hardly cracking the whip over yukes to get stuff accomplished properly. i say it's alot better than last year's and tons better than the dark times of THQ.

yet when i said that i got labeled a cunt. yeah okay lol but yeah exactly it spells owen either way you slice it

no we were talking about the sit-out tombstone which is not samoan driver 1 which is the animation rikishi has which is the same driver rikishi had in WWE'13

but wasn't jimmy or jey uso doing that move too? that's who i thought they made it for

@Brick

What Bugsyboy is talking about is at 0:53 when Vader is suplexing Rikishi, the tassels on Rikishi's tights seem to defy gravity and stick straight up in the air.

At 2:52 when Vader does his signature Vader Bomb there is no pin option.

well neither does the rump shaker have a pin-option. it wasn't a move remade i would assume because no one raised enough fuss about it probably. i wanted a pin-option for both but it ain't gonna kill me and definitely doesn't make yukes look complacent

Also, at Brick. The gameplay has for all intents and purposes been similar in recent years following an accustomed formula which we've all been used to. While you won't hear much user complaints on it, it still doesn't live up to today's industry standard.

I referred to them as complacent on an existential regard as there hasn't been any major overhauls deserving of "next-gen" praise besides the visuals of course. Apart from that, it's mostly been recycled and rehashed. A proper wrestling game has long been overdue since SvR 2007.

And your point about Bugsy is moot. His body of work speaks for itself. He knows damn well what he's talking about. Although, clipping issues are an occurrence which are all too common even in today's big budget productions, it's most likely due to an older engine, which brings the Yukes payroll full circle. If 2K are smart, they've secretly put Visual Concepts to work in developing a current-gen engine to showcase in two to three years time. If not, I don't know how they will prosper riding Yukes's coattails based on brand recognition alone. Scratch that. They've somehow managed to have people drink the kool aid and blindly associate so they'll do just fine. It just isn't fair to the loyal fans of the series who have been clamoring for a wrestling game that fits today's bill.

Everything i point out is in the video so i dont even understand this guy.

I didnt know the tassels were still a problem on new gen but i can understand if they cant do better.

As for the sumo belt going in the body when hes in certain position that is pretty cheap for an original model on new gen.

I have fix that issue many time on my mods by injecting bones so i dont understand why they dont do the same.

Lmao at that Stink Face! Did they hire Big Show to do that shit? Jesus!

Vader looks great however, can't wait to use him!

that's actually bam-bam's moonsault. it was in 15 last year as part of the wcw dlc

i don't get this post what more do you want? the gameplay is the best it's been. people said they were tired of the transitional grappling. they did something about it. people said they were tired of the pin and submission system they did something about it. they wanted a stamina and weight detection that worked and they fixed it so i really don't get it.

I agree people need to quit whining about the gameplay when it's the best gameplay in a WWE Video Game ever

^^ Its pretty clear what he wants..... an entirely new engine, which is what we shouldve had with 2k15.

I think hes right, as long as Yukes are onboard this game is always going to be sub-par
