Cave Waverider Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 You can, of course, just backup your game folder and let Steam Verify your game cache. It'll re-download any non-original game files including the ones you're missing. Then you switch the folders again and copy whichever original file you need to the game directory. Keep the unmodified folder as backup so you can always restore the original files. Quote

I already got the original file that jakeab1995 had posted on another thread.Yeah, but if you backup your modded folder first and have steam clean the files up, you can then swap the folders and will have a clean backup to copy original files from in case it happens again. I always keep a copy of the clean, unmodded installation of the game as a backup so I can easily copy any unmodded files over I might mess up. I also keep backups of my save folder. It's proven invaluable to me. Quote
