only problem i have is that mostly 90% of the time the Tongan Death Grip ended in a pin attempt and not in a submission...

@ Jeff not during his WWE run with Rikishi, guys would always tap before the pin fall. One of the few cases where WCW booked a guys finish better.

That's why I'm hoping they re-did brodus' g-grip. It was perfect except there was no pin combo. Or remove the mist from tensai's poison must claw in a separate move that was perfect for the TDG

I stand corrected after further research, I seen that Haku/Meng used the move the same way in the WWE. I'm hoping there ar 2 versions as well as his original Asiatic Spike.

That's what I thought. It should just go into the pin.  What was the asiatic spike?

LOL what pin attempt..... he was holding his weight against him to choke him out more

If you wanted to pin them afterwards, wouldn't that work the way the game plays on current gen now? After submissions are either held as long as possible, or you cancel the move yourself, doesn't the opponent stay down a while, unlike last gen?

Go look up any of the WCW Matches he had and his short lived 00's run. He always won by either 1. Pin fall, 2. KO, or 3. KO via Ref Stoppage. so i don't know what you're implying. Anyway it's not a deal breaker to me. if i have to i'll give him the poison mist claw since it's pretty much the same move (sort-of) and ends in a pin combo.. It is what it is

yeah but the problem with that, i was just hoping it would start as a sub, with the minigame an if the opponent lost the minigam struggle the "force to the mat" animation would result in an auto pin type animation.  I guess the only problem with that is they would have to make the move itself Exclusive to the finisher list only cause otherwise you've have online players complaining on how a cheap player would keep spamming that move till you gave up or something. lol IDK

@ 2:35

and that was just one of the ways i mentioned just now, that it could happen via Pin, KO, and Ref Stoppage. either way i'm just glad it's in the game.

i still see this as submission

how else can you see it since that's how they animated it.  i'm just saying it's supposed to end in the 3 conditions i mentioned. like i said it's not a game breaker.

The animation is pretty sweet to me. I really like how Haku still adds pressure after the opponent has passed out

well that's how it's supposed to happen. it's just supposed to end in either an auto ko or 3 count.  I think the only person that's ever gotten out of it was goldberg.

i don't really see the problem in it ending as a submission tbh. I think its kool to struggle for your breath while my boy Haku got you in his grips. We all kno it to end like pin or ko but honestly for just 1 move to end in a KO will be Hell's work for 2k wouldn't that mean ko being turned on even if its not??

look i said it wasn't that big of a deal but it's just like the mandible claw not ending in a pin or KO cause i don't ever remember the mandible ending in a submission but like i said it's not a big deal
