Not sure right off hand but thats been floating around for some time now. Tbh if you dont have the game on xbox one, pc, or ps 4 your wasting money it'll only be 14 with a updated roster

No i had PS4 since launch, but I'm trying to convince this other guy to upgrade.

I don't think it was really a confirmation as far as I can remember. There was a video of an interview where the guy stated that as long as there is still a huge fanbase for the platforms, they'll still be making them (I'm paraphrasing). But obviously features available will vary from current to last-gen.

if he still needs to be convinced after seeing the difference from last yr game he's a lost cost bro lol

oh i already know, i literally need to find hard solid proof that there is no reason not to upgrade, as if the gameplay footage in itsself is not enough.

its been confirmed for old gen cause in one of the dev interviews mentioned that of course the old gen version wont have all the feats as new gen because old gen version doesn't have the hardware. so basically like 2k15 old gen but with new characters

SVR 2011 was the last WWE game to come out for the PS2 and that was like 4 years after SVR 07 came out on PS3. So there could possibly be more games in the future for last gen consoles.

Every game will just be a repack of 2k15 with new superstars no new features so what's really the point. But I understand some ppl still have last gen and want to play the game until they can upgrade i get it. But in a few yrs the ps4 and x1 will technically be old as hell

yeah i get it too.. but the bolded part.. did you mean 360/ps3 will be old as hell? LOL cause ps4/x1 won't be old as hell in a few years LOL

but yeah i see people all the time saying that last gen is holding current gen back. i used to think that but i also think that's because of the way THQ was doing things. i've noticed that 2k can focus entirely on current gen and update rosters of last gen while still being able to make major improvements to x1/ps4 so yeah as long as a vast majority of people are purchasing last gen copies, i don't know i don't think those versions will go anywhere.  That said i got a ps4 last september and i wasn't disappointed.

maybe not old as hell but they would be considered old. In 2yrs they will be like 4 or 5yrs old so in like 4yrs yea they'd be pretty much the system everyone should have. That's what I meant by being old as in the norm for people gaming wise I'm sure the last gen will not still be getting versions of the game

I mean when the PS4 and XB1 came out PS3 and 360 were old as hell, i think everyone should have just upgraded right there and all devs stopped making games for last gen. I mean really, some people hate next gen because they feel they need to spend more money on something they already have, and they are horrified of the day where devs do not make games for last gen anymore. I was hyped for the next gen and got it on release day without hesitation, it was so worth it, and the next gen doesn't come out for a long long time so I'm pretty much set for a couple of years, unlike the old gen's who might buy the PS4 in 2 years, when the PS5 (?) will be released just 2 years after that again.

yeah i see what you mean now lol yeah by the time i got a 360 and ps4 that was in april of 2009 (360) and Summer of 2010 (PS3) so that was what 4 and 5 years respectively after they had launched only cause then i was working pretty heavily.

atleast what everyone should have done was put 20-30$ away every month. everyone would have had enough saved up by the following year.  I was hyped on launch but i never have gotten a console on released. NES was Christmas after Release. SNES was birthday After release Genesis was Christmas after release N64 was a year after release PS1 PS2 were 1 1/2 years after release and so on.  I think getting the PS4 was kinda a big deal for me since i play wwe games alot.

Yea I don't think I buy systems on release anymore the last 1 I got on release was Dreamcast and I waited for the black sports edition for that 1. I wait about a yr after cus I have to buy it which is kinda hard with bills and I like to wait for more games to be released

Right, well i am talking about Playstations and Xbox'es, as they are kinda the main consoles, like i got the PS2 on launch, PS3 on launch and PS4 on launch just because they were the dominating consoles, along with xbox of course, and i knew that i should get them asap as thats where new games are coming, I will do the same with PS5.

lol i think ever since xbox 360 and ps3 had their yellow and red light of death issues, i've learned to walk the lines of rushing to buy at launch and just waiting lol. plus like you said i also prefer waiting. even when i got my ps4 last september. all i had to play was GTA V, DCUO, and WWE2K15. sure i had stuff like injustice, RE HD Remake and RE Rev. 2  but nothing like when i got my 360 in 09. there was just so much that had my attention: Star Wars TFU, SVR09 (Bust) SSFIV, MK9, Infamous etc lol I'm not a FPS fan so those types of games have never really appealed to me.

This was from @Prinsto he had an interview at Gamescom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xDgkDDuIGuw

Pretty much said if there was still a market for it they will probably continue to make those games.

It's all about individual differences. Some people may not see a reason to upgrade, and some are still enjoying games that they may not have experienced yet.

the major determination of rather they will make next years on last gen or not depends a lot on sales. If 2k16 sales good then yeah, if it doesn't then likely wont return

I will be getting this for PS4, 360, & PC

I find it funny when people say what's the point of last gen.

2k15 Next Gen features vs last Gen. I'm talking creativity wise.

Next Gen: You have the Studio tool wooo FN hoooo. What we actually got. What good is the importer if you have multiple blur areas that make it nearly impossiable to make attires worth a flip, and it takes how many logos to get a face looking good with textures?. EXTREMELY bad faced and body morphing which hurt face texturing, EXTREME lack of attires, designs, tattoos, hair, facial hair, clothing options in turn gave with faces etc gave us a lot of carbon copy CaS. 4 grapples per situation.

Create a arena was missing and i'm extremely afraid of what they have done to it in 2k16. No creat a Championship again in 2k16 i dont know how they could screw that up but anything can happen.

360/PS3:  Paint tool injector works and past gen gets it every year so the studio is really a moot point for next gen. CaS had the face and body morphing so everyones face didnt look like a Carbon copy of someone else. only blur area to worry about is the crotch blur, so placing logos on the side of the tights was as easy as it should always be.  the vast amount of attires, designs, tattoos, hair, facial hair, clothing options.

Create a arena that works ONLINE which 2k16 has yet to shed light on bringing it back and if it will even be playable online,. This is a great tool for leagues to be unique. Again if 2k16 cant use them online then whats the point. in 360/ps3 we know we will be able to use them online.

Create a Championship: We haven't been able to defend titles online sense 2006 so it's really there for streamer offline or people in leagues to do offline recording for their champions.

We still got the roster and all the moves next Gen got.

Movests are more robust and not limiting you. Also we dont have to deal with the dragging animation everytime your near the ropes.

The model of 2k14 isn't bad it still serves a purpose.

This all being said I own a PS4, XB1 & 360. I bought 2k15 for next Gen and built a website for a league with the intentions for next gen and I had to roll back to 360 because leagues are about Originality. With the insane amount of restrictions next gen 2k15 brought us I thought I wasted time and money on a site but jumped for FN joy when a friend told me 360 had everything from 2k14 with all the updated roster & moves.

I'm both pessimistic and optimistic for next gen 2k16. I want it to be great. graphics are nice thats without a doubt but without these features that communities depend on then the past Gen still serves a purpose. I agree though I believe the AXE is going to fall next year which is fine because then they can dedicate themselves to making next gen perfect, they are on a good path and I can deal with the changes of reversals, toning down the amount of moves in ones moveset. Yet I can not excuse the lack of creating features and detail on face and body morphing which is essential to making your CaS unique from everyone else.

Here's the best to next Gen and hopefully after this roster reveal is done dragging out we can get down to the meat and potatoes of the features and stop giving us a bunch of smoke and mirrors like last year.

Logo manager was great and getting a face texture to work was all about how you edited it.

Both create an arena and championship is in 2K16.

Paint tool literally can not even compare to being able to make a logo in photoshop and add it in the game.

2K15 did indeed have both face and body morphing, not very detailed, but it was definitely there, and it definitely worked.

Again 2K16 has create an arena you obviously do not follow any sort of news for this at all.

Create a Championship is there as well.

Of course you did, why wouldn't you? Hilarious.

When it comes to how the superstars moved in the ring and the grappling and how they essentially wrestled, last gen again can't compare, it was so much more fluid and the animations looked way better on current gen, I don't know why you would even bring that up because the animation and grappling from current gen is so much better.

The models of last gen looks so hilarious and pathetic, SvR 2008's John Cena looks better than 2K14 and 15's Cena, and well, pretty much every other wrestler. Just look up some comparisons. And of course as it goes without saying they fixed this in current gen.

You obviously follow the roster updates, so how can you miss all the news like create a title and arena being confirmed? Anyhow you did not prove in any way that last gen was better as it was not. More features =/= better game.

Right...

First of even with 2K15's morphing it would be fine as the new face logo adjust will pretty much make everything perfect, only reason you would want to face morph would be to make really fat or really skinny faces.

And i never even mentioned quality, except that next gens models look so much better, which probably no one other than you would argue against. I mainly mentioned that the animation and fluidity of the gameplay was a lot better.

And lastly the game is called WWE, yes people play the WWE wrestlers, more people do that than create a bunch of indie wrestlers to use in their game, but hey whatever works for you buddy.
