Just wait until you get the game before you start judging the models based on what you've seen in a video on the internet. Well, what you're seeing right now is what you're most probably getting.well, personally.. i won't be playing in 720p and on a screen the size of a youtube video, but alright then. like i said, wait till it's in front of you in the best quality possible.The video on IGN is 1080p60, connect your laptop to the screen you play on, put the quality on 1080p60 and put it on full screen then you will see what you're getting on the disc. Don't try to convince yourself that anything is gonna change lol. But tbh some people are taking this way too far, he dosen't look bad at all. Quote

It simply speaks volumes on the efforts they exert on the series in general which isn't much. The passion isn't there. It seems like they've gone the route of cell-shading this year as the graphics look a bit degraded from last year. While there is nothing wrong with that and sacrifices need to be made, it still gives no excuse that what we all just saw was a borderline model for a Nintendo Wii game that was slapped on some highly exaggerated dark textures. The reason why there is nitpicking is because if the community can create mods (of which they've downplayed, shunned, and even banned users for) or create CAWS that can upstage their in-game models, it really begs the question that the talent employed lacks the heart to manage this game. We can do that. We have the talent to do much better. And, it's not even in the terms of a cock swinging contest because clearly our dicks are much bigger. So, when a negative connection like "nitpicking" is even brought up, it's because we pride ourselves, we are an established community, we are an impassionate community. That's not a shot at Visual Concepts themselves because they can do wonders as evident by their basketball game franchise. I will never pinpoint the "we really are a bunch of inbred hicks" ideology because everyone and their cousin watch professional wrestling, and everyone and their neighbor watch wrestling. It's not equivalent to the once "gay porn" or "fake fighting" mantra that the cool kids once associated it to as times have changed. When you see certain details not being addressed, you really ponder if their eyes are are as same as ours because what might be blue to me is perhaps purple to them. Now, had this been showcased five months earlier and I'm not necessarily speaking for everyone else here and nor that I should, but I think the majority would agree, or at least that I hope, that it would've been labeled a damn good work in progress. There is a reason CAW makers and modders put their work out in advance before release and that is so suggestions can be made and it's a trial and error process the community can pinpoint based on feedback. In the case that we're presented here, it doesn't seem like the good folks at Visual Concepts can't afford medical insurance to have their eyes checked out because they can't differentiate their hues, saturations, and contrasts or maybe we're the ones that are blind. As long as I been playing games that are model based off of real people none has been perfect. And to be honest the passion is there maybe not like the average wrestling mark but its there. And these games are pushed out in a time frame. For every great model there will always be one or a few that are not up to par but in Owens case I refuse to believe its as bad as ppl are trying to make it out to be. I haven't seen any mod or caw that I can say looks better or even come close so for his model to be so bashed and the lower levels accepted it makes no sense IMO. Everyone is over reacting it wasn't this Mich uproar about that shitty ass macho man model last yr. Like all creator's its a hard process to do no matter what the resources are. To mold and make that Owens model from scratch it desearves a lil more good jobs instead of all the heat its getting. Quote
